Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

This famous river flows from east to west through the heart of the city and divides Paris's Left Bank and Right Bank.
You can find moments on the bridges (des Arts for the romantic locks) or from the River itself on a Hop on Hop off boat - you can go from museum to museum (the Louvre to D'Orsay) and see the beautiful Eiffel Tower throughout...the best moments may be the cafes, street artists and crepe makers, but Paris charm resides in all of it! I love this city and its river!

Absolutely stunning visually, peaceful. A delightful moment of relaxation & escape, if only for a few minutes. However, I spent half of my morning simply wondering the grounds. A light drizzle moved in and though the tourists may have been scurrying away, the joggers, locals and wildlife carried on. I felt so relaxed and unhurried. I watched swans and geese being fed nearly by hand. I videoed a crow devour a deceased rat. Hey, it's Paris. Of COURSE there are rats. A very short walk from Porte Dorée with its light-rail stop - exempt from the Paris Metro Strike - this quick getaway is a spot I shall revisit, once COVID has moved on and I'm allowed back into Paris. I have a new love in my life. She will adore this space. I'm sure you will as well. I bid you Peace. ~Jan 1, 2020

We had a lovely day just relaxing in the Luxembourg Gardens and the Grand Bassin was one of the main attractions. Water has a relaxing effect and this one was perfect. Worth a visit.

This picturesque canal, an extension of the River Seine, is a pleasant place for a boat ride or a summer stroll.
Canal Saint-Martin sits in the 10th arrondissement and is such a great neighborhood. Normally we stay in the 8th in a nice little hotel. However this time we were traveling with my son, so we air b &b’ed it. Did I mention I loved this neighborhood? It was great. We woke up every morning and headed to one of the 10 best patisseries (according to Forbes) where the baker him self handed us out pistachio chocolate escargots. Evenings we would grab a bottle of rose and have a drink along the canal with the locals
