Whilst the restaurant itself is lovely and the menu tasty, although a little pricey. The staff truly are the asset. They are super friendly and welcoming and even though we had made a booking online, their system was unfortunately malfunctioning and they didn't have us in the system. Instead of blaming it on technology, they worked to fit us in and ensure we were taken care of.

Soooo.... well well! What can I say but this is my most favourite place in Hobart!!!Go here if you like to chill and aren’t wanting a fancy restaurant type of night. Don’t go here if you like to be rowdy. It’s alternative, artistic and grungy.Perfection!Great craft beer selections and spirits The food is sensational - Husby had the Holy Cluck burger, I had the buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce and sweet potato fries. I got to be honest I was a bit jealy of the burger choice. The atmosphere is so interesting with a bus outside and a coffin inside with amazing photographic framed prints. Home away from home (coffin was a bit on the weirder side), amazing!I’ll be back 100%

Beer battered fish of the day with chips and salad was beautiful. Salad was fresh and well seasoned. Chips were crisp and fish perfect. The Wagyu Beef was not so good. It was tough and showed no marbling. I wondered if, indeed, it was Wagyu. When mentioned to the waiter it was tough, he seemed surprised and said it was sous vied, so it shouldn’t have been tough. The vegetable which accompanied the beef were delicious.

Wow!!!!!! Ruben and Erin have worked their magic on the Shoreline and have created the most amazing dining experience I have had in years..... we were blown away by the transformation of the old pub into a stylish dining experience - the service, the food, the atmosphere! 10/10 for everything. We were served with not only the most amazing flavours, but also an artistic experience. I can’t wait to return - highly recommend for an affordable dining experience that can easily compare to some of Hobart’s most highly acclaimed restaurants!

I recently visited this establishment while on holiday and found the practice of substituting Makers Mark Bourbon with a poor quality tasteless product was rife. This practice is becoming more common as bars struggle to make a profit. Most patrons are oblivious to what they are drinking and wouldn't notice. This is a great spot but struggle to see how it will ever make money although I may have uncovered something.Hi Andre, Thank you for the review. We are very sorry you are so misinformed. We have not and would never substitute a product with another with the hope that we could deceive a customer for profit. What you have stated is slander and we will pursue legal action. If you would like to discuss this further please head to www.theden.com.au and fill in a feedback form and we will respond back to your directly to rectify the issue. Best,The Den

Tasmania Golf Club

Reviewed By Angie H

This is the first time that I have been with a group to this Golf Club. The wait for the first serve was a bit long. However they have served about 4 to 5 dishes of cheese and garlic pide for all of us at the table. I have asked whether these were free of charge and the waitress said yes. However, one lady has ordered such a dish beforehand not knowing that they would come free of charge. There was a great confusion amongst the group as nobody really knew what was really going on. It turned out that according to the waitress all such dishes were complimentary with the exception of one lady that has pre ordered the pide dish where she had to pay extra. It would have been a good idea if the staff of the dining room would have made it specifically clear right from the start whether or not these dishes were actually complimentary. Please bear in mind that it is not the money that is in dispute but it is merely a matter of principle.Apart from that the meals were not too bad but needed a bit more taste.
