Tunel Ferroviario del Tinoco

Reviewed By Don P - Dallas, Texas, United States

This is an old railroad tunnel. The myth is that someone who died here, Willy Antonio, speaks on the wind and can grant favors to people. Because of speaking on the wind there are many little pinwheels attached to a fence at one end of the tunnel. There are many little gifts and requests for favor and/or help also attached to the fence at one end. This has become a shrine. Walking through the tunnel is a short experience in Darkness (use your phone or flashlight for walking).

Aguas Panimavidas

These mineral Springs are in the protected Wilderness of El Morado National Park.

Nice trekking, a little bit hard/steep at the very beggining, but the reward at the end of the path is to look at the whole El Morado Valley, plenty of beautiful peaks, like El Morado, Rubillas, San Francisco, Mirador del Morado, Punta Rodriguez, etc. Mountaineering paradise!.
If you visit this place at winter season will be much more interesting, be careful with avalanches.

Plaza de Armas

Reviewed By J Machado M - Sorocaba, SP

The last 20 km have the more beautiful landscapes through a beautiful, peaceful canyon. The last part of the road is gravel with some menor river crossings. Possible with a normal car.

Glaciar Colgante El Morado

Reviewed By Mónica T - Santiago, Chile
