The road train goes from the car park at the end of the palavas-les-flot road every15 to 20 mins with a break for lunch 1-2pm . to find the carpark you have to go all the way past the campsite to the end of the road. Parking is 4euros on arrival. The train is free. The walk looks long and boring so would recommend the train.
The Cathedral is an interesting place, although there's not much left inside. There is a cafe and small shop. The island is pleasant with woodland and vineries. Some of it is private and not accessible. There are steps to the beach at intervals along the road but it wasn't possible to see which bits are best for families from the road.

Little green town between Rhona channel (you can hire tour boat there) & nice sandy beach, not so overcrowded even in august. Plenty of shops, pubs, etc. Water activities. For those seeking isolation there are more spacious "savage" Beaches to the east of Carnon.

It has a playground, lake, stream, museum, carousel, tower in the lake, & fitness path. And birds in cages around the fitness path. To say our 5yo loved it would be an understatement. The carousel is small and no horses just the kind we like. Off season so no museum for us or train rises (but sign pointed to a dock at the stream???). The random waterfall was a nice surprise and we h ave gone twice in three days from one town over. There are also pony rides (trip three on saturday).

Really nice view with all the boat, a lot of boat. amazing pictures. There are also a lot of restaurant very nice on the port. And is nice to walk around or go by bike and take some picture. Is also a relaxing place on the other side of the port because there are few people and you can sit and watch all that boat perfectly parked.

Palavas est LE village animé par excellence de Montpellier. Les arènes y sont toujours utilisées, tantot pour des spectacles plus ou moins taureaumachiques, tantot par d'autres spectacles.

This beach was an enjoyable place for a quick dip and some sun. It was a bit crowded but not so much you couldn't relax. The bus between here and the Tram to Montpellier seemed unreliable.
