We went in a rafting experience, organised by Camping Village Micanovi Dvori. We had a fabulous time and our two children (7 & 5), had so much fun. The skipper and other staff members were extremely professional and well skilled. It wasn't that 'wild', but...MoreWe are happy to make your day and time spent with us worth comments like this. Thank you :)

St. Frane church - Podprag

Fortica Castle

You dont need to be very fit to climb the small hill and reach magnificent fortress from the 13th century. During climbing you become aware how huge complex this was long time ago. You can visit a chamber where once queen Elizabeta Kotromanic was kept - more known as mother of famous queen (in Poland known as king) Jadviga. According to the legend her older daughter Marija was saved but the queen Elizabeta was killed and thrown to the river of Zrmanja.
Being there you must feel special - from the fortress you can enjoy the view of the amazing sunsets in Novigrad. Also you should be aware that till beginning of 19 th century Novigrad was more like an island there was no road to reach it you could reach it only via boat - it used to be isolated pearl of Dalmatia.
You can also see on the first level the well which was found out recently.
Climbing the stairs you can notice holes in which once cannon balls were - which are at the moment kept in the museum of Novigrad.
Definately a must visit - either just for romantic sunset, amazing history or view.

Etnographic Museum Novigrad

Reviewed By _Matea_2411 - Groningen, The Netherlands

The etnographic museum is placed in 2 buildings, very close to the church of st Mary.
Entrance is 10HRK (around 1 euro) which is quite simbolic. You can visit it during the week (from monday to friday) either in the morning from 9- 13h or in the afternoon18-20h.
In the first building you enter typical Novigrad household which is 400 years old. On the left from the entrance you enter the kitchen with all the tools which have been used there - from huge pots to the small iron. In the kitchen there is also placed a chair where the oldest woman from the family was sitting throughout the day - since all the brothers with their families were living in one house their mother used to watch over their wives and in the afternoon giving them 'life lessons'. In a room next to it you can see everything the house typicaly had from the tools for the agriculture to the wine production and fishing. Throughout the house you can see many photos where you can follow the life of Novigrad people throughout last 120 years.
Upstairs there is a sleeping room where you can see traditional costumes of Novigrad and typical arrangment of sleeping/living room.
After exploring amazing first house you go to the second part of museum which is placed on the grounds of early christian church - here you can experience through travel throughout the history - from the stones marking the border of roman province, old tombs of people, cannon balls found in the fortress and in the sea during many times people tried to occupy Novigrad, symbolic bell from the plague times, marking stones from napoleon times etc.
This place is a must visit it will not tell you only the story about the history you will experiance it on your on skin.
