National Packard Museum

My husband is a Packard collector, and while visiting the Cleveland Clinic discovered there was a museum 40 min away! Wow, what a great break from tests and opinions! The Packards are beautiful and they have a lovely assortment of vintages. Many fine cars in their collection, but all the history as well as donated wardrobe of the great-great niece of Mr. Packard, made the visit even more delightful. The area is clean and well cared for. The volunteers were well informed and very pleasant.

Myrddin Winery

We have been here in early spring of 2016 and then in July with friends. Really enjoyed our time here as they have plenty of places to sit outside overlooking Lake Milton. To celebrate a birthday, we took another friend here in August. The staff is courteous and kind. The winetender suggested different wines based on our friends liking and we enjoyed our time here. You can enter from land or sea. This is becoming my favorite winery. They have White-Red and Dry-Sweet. Something for everyone's palate.

LaPorte Winery

Reviewed By SouthhillsCritic - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

We were driving through the country of Ohio. We ran across this winery. We were unsure until we seen the sign at the entrance, and a limo driver at the top.

The winery is part of the owner's house. They still have their full-time jobs. The winery is a side business that is small but in hope that it becomes larger. I met the winemaker who has been making wine for 30 years.

This is a little shop. But surprisingly everything we tried we liked. The Cab was one of the unique cabs I've ever tried. Their dryest white wine didn't taste like a dry, much better. Then the port which is a blackberry and contains 27% alcohol. Wow, it was the best one they had available. I'm not a fan of ports, but I was with theirs. They only had a few remaining in stock, and I believe the port was 2 years of age in a barrel.

Do not judge a book by its cover. Try this place out. It's worth it. The owners were very nice.

Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park

Reviewed By Tweentrails - Oklahoma

Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park is only 167 acres but it has a fascinating variety of crevices, cliffs, caves, rock formations, and waterfalls. Since my first visit six years ago, the parking lot has been enlarged and the pit-toilet bathroom improved. Also boardwalks were added to aid footing and keep the paths out of water. Unfortunately, the boardwalks are breaking down and--to my knowledge--the paths have never been well marked. Many of the "trails" were created simply by people exploring at random. If you're serious about a visit, it's important to run off copies of the maps on the park's website (parks.ohiodnr.gov/nelsonkennedyledges). Though there are some potentially hazardous dropoffs and crevices in a few spots, this park can with supervision be a good place for children to explore.

West Branch State Park

Be aware most sites are not full hookups. We thought we reserved a full hookup but it was electric only. Our bad. The route we took came from I-76 through Edinburg. Rock Spring road from Edinburg to the park is very rough, and it's about 5 miles long. The sides of the roads have been patched and not very well. Check in was quick as we only had to pick up our car pass and park map. However, we had some questions later and the staff seemed pretty uninformed. We had to pull into a parking lot on the other side of the check in area to unhook our car and then backtrack to our site. We were in site 1, and just so you know, sites 1-3 are right in front of where you check in. There must be quite the roadblock on busy check in days while people are trying to back into these spaces. Most of the sites are fairly short so few will handle large units. Site 1 is paved, long and pretty level. We were not able to get satellite coverage due to trees. Verizon cell worked fine. There is no WII FI. Quiet at night, and lots of boats and jet skis during the day. The showers are utilitarian. There was a sign indicating if the water was cold to let it run 15 minutes!?! Be ready for the no see um biters when you are outside! The picnic table has seen better days. Seems like a busy weekend place for local boaters. The price for value is low at $28 plus $8 reservation fee for electric only. We wouldn't stay here again.

Drive-In Movie Theatre offering double features and GREAT FOOD!

Reviewed By howlandchurchmouse - Niles

Great family atmosphere and fair prices for two movies. They even have portable radios if you want to sit on lawn chairs behind your vehicle. Reasonable concession stand prices so we always eat dinner when we come. The food is a great treat, try the sampler for a great variety including delicious fair fries.
