adidas Store

Reviewed By saltacity - Weinheim, Germany

The adidas brand comes originally from Herzogenaurauch and the HQ is still located there. The outlet center is quite big and reasonable discounts are offered. If you are used to US-prices, than this is not the place to go shopping. adidas is more expensive in Europe than in the US. If you come shopping here, watch out for special promotions - normal products are discounted but you can find similar prices onlines or in sports shop. However, promotional products may be found at very interesting prices (by European standard).

We have been here a few times and my son jumps at the idea whenever we mention Atlantis. I think they have a fairly spread out swimming pool. What i miss is more of water sports possibilities.

Freibad Herzogenaurach

Reviewed By GreenKona

Popular among locals (especially children and teenagers) due to its affordable price and good location.
Freibad Herzogenaurach offers a one large swimming pool divided in four parts:
- wide slide,
- diving tower
- swimming lanes area
- recreational/playing area
Although the area directly around the pool offers somewhat limited space, a large green area adjacent to it is available for sunbathing and playing. There is also a dedicated beach volleyball court and a water playing area for toddlers.
The premises are well maintained and kept clean.
Food offer is very limited and definitely a point with improvement potential. Better bring your own.

Nike Factory Store

Located closely to Addidas and Reebok outlet stores, as well as right opposite to Puma outlet. Convenient to shop all top sports brands at the same time....
However, it was bit disappointed that the store was bit smaller than expected, personally speaking. Could suggest Inglostadt Village or Wertheim Village for those Nike lovers, probably able to get some more current products there...

Stammhaus Dassler

Reviewed By vronili-chan - Burghausen, Germany

Stadtmuseum

Reviewed By GreenKona

Stadtmuseum in Herzogenaurach is not a "must see" tourist attraction for everyone. It is rather a place that captures and stores some parts of the towns history, most of it from the last 100-200 years. Life and work in most recent decades were strongly influenced by three big companies - Schaeffler, adidas and Puma and this is also reflected through museum exibits. Unfortunately, many inscriptions are available only in german language, therefore the museum is not entirely suitable for non-german speakers. The entry prices are 2€ for adults, 1.5€ for teenagers and 1€ for kids. Plan 1-2 hours for the visit and check the opening hours, since the museum is closed most of the time. As in every museum you will find some interesting and beautiful items, but my overall impression still remains 'average'.

Trimm-dich Pfad

Reviewed By Traveller24178 - Herzogenaurach, Germany

Wiwaweiher

Reviewed By GreenKona

Wiwaweiher is a mid-sized pond with small island and a plastered path around it near the center of Herzogenaurach. A small children playground and a green area are located on the north side of it. Apart from making a 5 minute walk around it or sitting on a bench and enjoying the view on the water surface and the water birds, there is not much more a visitor could do here. Subjectively, there is just not enough cozy space available to keep you stay longer on this spot, but id does the job for a short break.
In my opinion, Wiwaweiher would be much more attractive for visitors if one third of the water surface on the south side would be converted to the green area with trees and benches or even better in a small Amphitheater.
