Staying in Hondarribia, visited for the day.
Amazing beach which goes on for miles. Flat, open, tons of rooms, shallow, warm and inviting.

You can find you own little space, not to be crowded, great people watching and excellent sailing in the distance!
Quite enjoyed it!!

Went to visit and look around the grounds. The grounds that you are allowed in are very small. Didn't visit inside....perhaps we should have done!Dear Steve, Abbadia offers wonderful decors inside. So sorry you didn't see it. Next time I hope ! J.S. Halty Manager

Navette Martime Hendaye - Hondarribia

Reviewed By DrJanetHall - Melbourne, Australia

It is so easy to ride the Navette from the port at Hondorribia to be in Hendaye very quickly. The only downside is that there is a 2 km walk to get to the facilities of the Hendaye town. The boat staff are very courteous and efficient.

Done the Bilbao to San Sebastián bit several times. Cheap and lots of stops with much industrial landscape punctured by some lovely little places. Do some research and enjoy exploring rather than just passing through everywhere.

Xingudi bay invites you to walk along the beach and explore the different perspectives of Hendaye and Hondarrabia. It is enjoyable to observe the tides and stroll around the marina and boat yard. The views extend all along the Spanish coast.

Hegoa Cafe Hendaye

Reviewed By MaldonGastronomie - Maldon

Euros 7.50 for a so called "sundae" served in a small drinking glass. Small portions of poor quality ice-cream - not sure where the "cream" in the ice actually was. Wafers were soggy and tasted as though they were out of date, upon requesting fresh ones the same type were given. The waitress did not even apologise. Avoid. If you want decent ice-cream go to Saint Jean de Luz and see Monsieur Lopez for real ice-cream and sorbets.

Eglise Saint-Vincent-Diacre

Reviewed By Pierre G - Toulon, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
