Rusty Wallace Racing Experience

Reviewed By scottindy27 - Centennial, Colorado

The company does a nice job of preparing the drivers and the ride-along was critical to maximizing my drive. I strongly recommend the ride-along before driving to any first-time drivers. I was able to better understand the limits of the car and the markings on the track. The drive was even better than expected. The spotter (Nick) was outstanding, the car was great and the team was genuinely interested in my experience. Highly recommended.

National Museum of World War II Aviation

The museum is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10AM to 4PM. Tours are at 10AM, NOON and 2PM. Visitors can walk around the museum on their own or take a historical tour with a docent. Hourly docent led tours are also available to visit WestPac Restoration where WWII aircraft are actively being restored to flying condition.

The facilities are first-rate and the location is great. The dedication, knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff is unmatched. Not only do they restore historic aircraft to flying condition - often starting with only a twisted piece of rotting junk - but they work to pass on their knowledge and passion to the next generation of aviation engineers and technicians coming up the ranks. Not content to restore 70 year old aircraft so they look and perform like they just rolled off the assembly line, their machine shops contain functional equipment that themselves belong in museums. All in all a fantastic place to spend a few hours and visit with old friends.

Fountain Creek Nature Center

Reviewed By marybeth523 - Colorado Springs, Colorado

Since I live only a couple of miles away, I visit often. The paths are well-maintained and mostly level (expect for the ascent/descent to and from the nature center). I always see lots of wildlife like ducks, geese, birds, rabbits, turtles, frogs, frequently deer and occasionally a snake. Please note that the nature center path is for walking only....NO DOGS OR BICYCLES. However, the adjacent Fountain Creek Trail does allow dogs, horses, bicycles. Please be respectful of the Nature Center's wildlife.

This is really a must see activity! We had the ability to feed giraffes, elephants, and got a special behind the scenes visit with wallabies (set up ahead of time)! We went 3 times during our two-week stay in the Springs. Ask for Beth Rizzo for an excellent tour, especially of the animals in The Loft!

Broadmoor Soaring Adventure

A thrilling exploration above The Broadmoor Seven Falls, following rope bridges and culminating in a rappel. The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure consists of 10 zip-lines that range in distance from 300 feet to 1,800 feet as well as moderate hiking, rope bridges, and a rappel that provide stunning views of the canyon. The Broadmoor partnered with Bonsai Designs, an industry leader in creating aerial adventures, to develop the soaring adventure with particular attention paid to preserving the area’s natural beauty with minimal impact. Accompanied by two guides at all times, participants have the option to choose the full tour, approximately a four-hour excursion, or experience one of two distinct courses of the aerial adventure. The Woods Course cruises over pines, creeks, valleys, a natural granite arch, Midnight Falls, and the trails leading to the falls. The Fins Course soars above steep drops, unique rock formations and jagged cliffs, and across the Seven Falls Canyon. Each course includes five zip-lines that get progressively longer, giving guests time to ease into the experience. The Fins Course also features several custom-built suspension bridges and a rappel to the canyon floor at the end. If just one course is not enough, you can experience the Full tour! Enjoy the best of both courses as you soar above the streams and canyons. The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure is a separate fee and includes the park entry. Note that Broadmoor Soaring Adventure tickets are only available at the complimentary Seven Falls parking lot and online. Fees include park entry fees for Seven Falls.
