Wolf Gap was a delight! The Mariage Reserve 2011 was absolutely delicious, among others. We were able to tour the grounds as well, and it is so beautiful there. The owners, Willie and Diane, were gracious and knowledgeable. It’s evident that they give attention to every detail in their home, business, and land. We will definitely be back again!

The largest museum in Shenandoah County (VA), open year-round, is housed in a large grist mill built in 1848 and one of the few that survived the burning of the Shenandoah Valley in the Civil War. It houses 3 floors of exhibits about past life in Shenandoah County. Facility has 2 gift shops, elevator, small theater with daily showings of the movie, "The Burning" based on the book, about the burning of the valley during the Civil War, by John Heatwole. Exhibits cover transportation, farming, small town living, military, clothing, household items, businesses, small town living, Red Cross, town coronet bands, and much more. The Mill sits along the bank of Stony Creek, where a small flock of ducks are in residence. The building also houses a full service restaurant, The Edinburg Mill Restaurant and a wine shop. Banquet rooms are available and there is ample parking.
The museum is very good, it has something for everyone! They have a wonderful gift shop with many books and many books on the French and Indian war also.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch on their patio overlooking the vineyard and mountains. We liked all 6 wines in the flight but settled on a bottle of the 2018 blanc for lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well suited for Covid distancing.

Fantastic pizza, good beer and a great environment. We visited on a Friday afternoon, when it wasn't too crowded, and they've done a good job spacing out tables inside and out for social distancing. They offer beer flights to let you try out their selection - I liked the Dirty Blonde and the Berry Shandy but found the Red Clay a little to bitter for my taste. The pizza was definitely the highlight - both the Mexican and the Chef's were fantastic. Definitely off the beaten path, but a nice drive and a great lunch. Will definitely return again if we're in the area. Tip: There's not much signage in the drive up, but our GPS took us right to the spot.
