It is one of the two principal communities of the Bloomsburg-Berwick, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, a micropolitan area that covers Columbia and Montour counties, and had a combined population of 85,562 at the 2010 census.

My husband and I were very privileged to receive a tour of the Jackson Mansion through the Berwick Historical Society and the kindness of its director. What a fantastically knowledgeable man! The mansion is a beautiful building and the furnishings, including wallpaper and carpets, pay such homage to the original owners. This is truly a special experience. Please remember to call ahead to get on the schedule. If we lived in the area, we would certainly join in on the special events.
