I went out with Maritim Divers for my first dive (a training session in the Maritim pool, followed by a dive out on the reef) and it was fantastic. The dive masters were excellent, and offered good training and brilliant support. The dive itself was amazing, with lots of different corals and fish. I'd love to go back to do my PADI course!

We had a warm welcome by the Duty Manager Oumesh , F&B Manager Rakhes and the guest relation. Cold towels were provided and a refreshing welcome drink was served. We were really taken care.
The hotel looked gorgeous, clean and well maintained. Rakhes hand us over to Kumar at the Bistrot. Kumar and his team was cheerful and courteous and made everyone comfortable. Service was excellent. We were treated like princes and princesses. The food was delicious and presentation amazing. Team continually check everything satisfactory, and nice selection of music was heard. We then joined the pool party and had great fun. It was awesome dancing in the pool.
I would highly recommend this hotel. I thank the GM , Alessandro Schenone and his wonderful team for having spent a wonderful time at Ravenala Attitude.

Certainly it's a matter of conscience whether to participate in the dolphin watching/swimming or not. If you cannot resist, like me, do not go with Vava Voom. They come with a crowded boat and chase the dolphins regardless of the consequences. When all the other...MoreThanks for your comment,ya of course you take a private boat its better and we have the option but you have to pay much more.If you can afford to be in a boat only you,we will afford to give you an exclusive attention.Cheers.

Chartered the PowerCat for a day out snorkelling on Saturday October 28th. Most of us live in Mauritius so have used several charter services before. We always go private and take the whole yacht so that you can give direction on when and where to go. This was no exception. Despite an initial small 1 hr delay with some engine trouble, the crew rallied to find the part we needed and we got underway. The vessel is quiet small but more than adequate for a group of 8-10. would not be comfortable with any more than 10 max. Also, being small, you need to ensure you have a calm day as the water comes over the front if cruising into any waves. These small negatives aside - the day was exceptional. We cracked up the music, headed to Gunner's and anchored around 11am. The sea was flat calm at gunners and visibility 30m+. Food on board was far better than most charter services offer, although we did run out of rum ( can't blame them as they had 3 bottles on board for 8 people ). The crew was great, service impeccable and we took a slow cruise back down the west coast to Angasana at around 3pm, getting in at 4pm. Good excursion and can be romantic or a real party if you go private charter.

Like most spas it will have the various options of jacuzzi, steam room etc however the staff goes out of it's way to assist you by the manner they show interest in thier clients. They are interactive and sensitive to your request. Extremely friendly too. The aroma is different to that I'm used to in Johannesburg especially the lemon grass but it's equally good.

Maritim Equestrian Centre

Reviewed By acs1984 - Cockermouth, United Kingdom

We decided to book a horse riding trip here whilst staying at the Maritim resort. From what I can gather you can go on a horse riding trip even if you are not staying at the resort. The cost was 950 rupees each which is roughly £21. You have to book an hourly slot with the land sports hut down by the swimming pool. The original slot we wanted (4pm-5pm) was unavailable even though the availability board said it was. The guy in the hut seemed to be arguing over the phone to the equestrian centre in Creole so not sure what the problem was. They offered us 11am-12pm the next day which we said was fine. We had to be at the stables half and hour before to get set up. On arrival at the stables we were fitted for helmets and shown the horses. The guy who took us out had a great knowledge of horses although even though he knew we were only beginners he told us off a few times for stuff he hadn’t told us not to do. For example when I got on my horse he told me to wait there, which I did. Another horse them came up to mine they nuzzled heads a bit. The guide panicked and shouted at me not let them do that and keep my horse away from there. Well he had just put me there and did not tell me to keep my horse away from other horses, so that was hardly my fault - I don‘t know what to do as a beginner. We had a nice walk around the grounds and the guide gave us some information about riding horses and tried to teach us some basic things such as riding position and trotting. We also had a walk along the beach and he took some photos for us. I had a good time on the horse trek and would recommend it to other guests even though it did cost extra. If you an a proficient rider you are able to take horses onto the beach and into the sea. There is also a giant tortoise enclosure at the stables and a small animal farm with goats, hens and dogs. They also have a cute little kitten who was abandoned and they are looking after it and feeding it. They are obviously all animal lovers at the equestrian centre.

Divesail Ravenala

This region offers the opportunity for interesting and rich dives in average of 13 meters to deep dives. Colorful corals, abundant fauna or wrecks sunk in order to create artificial reefs, provide the platform for divers to dive all year round in excellent conditions for the underwater photographer!

During 2 weeks holiday at the Ravenala we had 8 dives with Divesail. Some really good dive sites, from nice deep wrecks to the most beautiful coral. Ben and all the staff were awesome and could not be more attentive.
