Great place to stop and let kids play for hours before continuing traveling. During an 8 hours travel during the holiday, my 2 year old and 11 mo play for over two hours and they slept for a while afterwards so we are having a pleasant drive while the kiddos nap hard! A must go for parents with babies (they have a 3 and under area) and SO MUCH play places and slides and more for kids, especially half way through a long travel out of town

Launch is a family friendly activity that lets everyone create memories together. The whole family can come jump, play dodge-ball, or even complete the obstacle course!
We went to launch with our hone school group. The owners and employees were very organized and accommodating and friendly! All the kids had a blast and even the parents did too! I would highly recommend Launch for a family day of fun!!

Just behind a busy road with fast food, grocery stores, and Starbucks sits the beautiful Lake Julian Park. The park covers 300 areas and includes a marina. While there is not a defined walking path, there is still plenty of space to enjoy a walk. They offer fishing, boating, diskgolf, and you will find plenty ducks. We were here recently during the day enjoying the ducks. I noticed Christmas displays everywhere. We decided to return that evening and catch the display of lights. We returned about 530 only to catch the lights being turned off. But turns out the event didn't start up for another week. So we did eventually return for the festival of lights and it was just scrumptious and a great and cheaper alternative to the lights at the NC Arboretum. This is a dog friendly park. They do have picnic tables and grills. You can rent out one of their shelters. And don't have your own boat? No problem, you can rent one here. They do offer events through out the year and they might cary an admission fee. In December they have their festive of lights and this year it was $10 per car.
