I think the sunshine could hardly reach the ground of the dense forest except for winter. The crispy sound of fallen leaves and the twittering of birds gave me a feel of adventure.

Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress

Reviewed By iverdine15

It is easy to come from Daejeon, the hub of transportation. It has good accessibility, and the roads and other cultural assets are well preserved. If you go up the road, you can see the Geumgang area and Gongju at a glance, especially if you go at night, you can see the beautiful scenery along with the lighting. There are many delicious restaurants and cafes around, too.

We loved our experience, able to entertain our teenagers with chestnut roasting, rice cultivating and just exploring around the village with kind and nice people teaching us about the Korean culture in different locations. Play place made of rice and local materials and a nice outdoor cafe with traditional food for a reasonable price.

Songsan-ri Tombs and Royal Tomb of King Muryeong

Reviewed By KevanEastYorkshire - Hessle, United Kingdom

Therer are a number of royal tombs in the park which you can walk around but not enter. There is a museum mock up of the tomb of the king however. Again if its a nice day the flowing park land and the tombs provide a very pleasnt walk. Cominbation of the tombs and fortress provides agood day out if you enjoy history.
