Top 8 Things to do Good for Adrenaline Seekers in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (PA)

May 5, 2022 Weston Hennigan

Gettysburg is steeped in the history of the Civil War. In 1863, it was the site of the epic Battle of Gettysburg, in which some 50,000 soldiers were killed. It is also, of course, the place where Abraham Lincoln delivered the immortal Gettysburg Address. The town itself is made up of houses, hotels and taverns dating back several centuries, but Gettysburg offers more modern travel and leisure activities, as well, like wine tastings, orchard tours, shopping and golfing.

GettysBike Tours

Experience the most sacred ground in American history by the best means of transportation available: a bike. Unlike any motorized vehicles, on a bike you get a true sense of terrain which helps you understand the thinking of the commanders and the troubles units may have had during the battle. Next to walking the battlefield, the bike is the BEST and, some say, ONLY way to get the most out of a tour at Gettysburg. “It’s a humbling experience that I never got when I took yours in my car or on a bus,” one customer told us. “It made me feel small because it showed me how large an event this was and the courage these men had is something I don’t think I’ll ever have.”

My husband and I did the Rebel Recon room and we escaped with just minutes to spare. Lots of great puzzles with good clues and it was fun to tie in the town's history into the room. Would definitely recommend!

After Dark Investigations

Welcome to Gettysburg's paranormal investigation company. Are you tired of the over-crowded, walk and talk ghost tours? Have you been searching for a real paranormal experience? If so, you have found it. We are experienced investigators who take small groups of people to the most active, paranormal locations in Gettysburg. We will teach you how to use equipment which will give you the insight to communicate with spirits, hear Evp's and photograph what you cannot see. All of our investigations are listed on our website. You can make the reservation online or call us. You will then get full instructions and the address where we meet via email or text. We meet at a safe, downtown location and caravan to the investigation sites. We are celebrating our tenth year in Gettysburg and we are members of Destination Gettysburg. Also, if you want to see us on “These Woods are Haunted “, we are on Season two, episode eight, part two. Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
