My wife and I visited the Colonial Theater for the first time after moving to Surry, NH, 32 months ago to see a Lion's Club fund raiser, the comical musical, "Mamma Mia". The program was first rate fun, and the inside of the theater was beautiful. I have never been in such a wonderfully decorated movie house.

This place is completely hands on! You can supervise your child, but they are allowed to make a mess and have fun doing it. There is a school bus, log cabin, space ship, post office, dentist office, classroom, grocery store, farm, etc. I would have loved this when I was a kid!

Because they maintain contact with hundreds of local crafts artisans, this store is able to offer a very wide selection of locally made goods. The staff is helpful and not pushy. My wife and I love to stop by from time to time and see what new items are available. When our son and his wife and our daughter are in town, they like to look around also.

If you love beer and are into the craft beer scene then this is a great little place to pop into if you are passing through Keene or live in the area. The boys that run this brewery are devoted to providing quality beer. They have some great IPA's and love to experiment with infusions of fruit & coffee. The food on offer is tasty pub food and I believe they often host events with food trucks & musicians. It is hidden in an industrial area of Keene so you will definitely need to google their location. Worth the effort!
