I really dislike posting negative reviews, but in this case, for the sake of other travelers who might be choosing this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews as I did, I feel I need to. I simply can't believe all the positive reviews here are legitimate. The best parts of my recent meal at Da Felice were 1) the glass of wine I ordered and 2) the fact that I found free street parking (not an easy feat in Chiavari).The bread was stale, the amuse bouche was greasy, my main course was ok, but a very small quantity of food for the price. I had to send one dish back because it was inedible.The service was good and attentive, but the food was a fail. As evidenced by the very sparsely populated dining room, I believe this place survives on tourists who come in once and learn their lesson.

The restaurant has been highly recommended by our hotel in Lavagna.So we thought we should save the best for the end of our vacations and have not been disappointed. I recommend the "antipasti royal", a firework of fantastic seafood starters, including the most delicious scampi we ever had. Delicious, fresh food and excellent service.

Cosa dire... tutto Super!! Complimenti ai proprietari!!Piccolo ristorante situato nell'entroterra ligure, location semplice, conduzione famigliare, personale cortese, cuochi super!! Tutto davvero molto buono, dall'antipasto ai dolci!!Assolutamente da riprovare!!

What a wonderful genuine place.Wintertime on the Italian riviera, most hotels and restaurants are closed, not this one.Excellent service, great location, ambiance of old fashioned tavern.Local wines with the help of a well prepared sommelier.Local food, very original dishes served with care.Prices more than affordable.A must in Sestri Levante.

We just enjoyed a lovely dinner at la Cantina del Polpo. Our wait staff was exceptional and catered to our every need. The food was lovely. We enjoyed our dinner so much!

It is a good sign already, that most assessments are in Italian.We came as tourists and were greeted friendly, no complaints about ordering only one plate per person and drinking no wine.Congratulations to the cuisine, we loved everything we tasted and can especially recommend the desserts (see the picture of my meringue pie and the apple pie was even better).Grazie per la positiva recensione ,per Noi i Clienti sia Italiani che Stranieri sono tutti molto importanti , anche se mangiano un solo piatto e un dolce . We visited the restaurant without making a reservation which initially seemed to be a problem. They eventually had a table in the garden area. When the vaitress came to take our order we asked for an English meny even though we had all conversation in English. Unfortunatly noone felt really comfortable speaking English. This became evident since our order come completey wrong and the service was absolutely non existing. Maybe this is because the waitresses are running during service and there is no time to care to understand you. As you might understand I would not recommend a visit.

One of the best meals of our trip through Liguria. Rustic restaurant historically linked with fishing company, all family business. Wonderful, warm hospitality by just women, the freshest fish, great house wine from Cinque Terre, the fairest of prices. We hope to come back.
