Immaculate Conception Catholic Church

Reviewed By Pedro1201 - Perth, Australia

This lovely old church is an oasis of peace in amongst the bustling and vibrant Glenferrie Road shopping precinct. Stunning stained glass windows, ornate religious statues, tiled floor and wooden pews. Everything beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Like stepping back 100 years in time.

Hawthorn Presbyterian Church

Reviewed By 400grahamn - Melbourne, Australia

This building looks totally different inside from what the outside suggests, and has been loving restored by the congregation in recent years. The pipe organ is marvellous. Acoustics in a building like this can be tricky, but it seems all covered by a PA system. Normally closed during the week but open pretty much throughout Sundays.

Wonderful Hawthon landmark - but understand the tower is in danger of collapse. One hopes the church community will stop infighting and come to some agrement on the best way to save it.
