Tica surf is a bikini shop spealized in surf bikinis. Located in famour surf town, this is one of the more established shops there. Since 2004, Veronica Quiros, designer and owner of the trademark - Costa Rican- was doing her bikini models better and better until it reaches perfection. The secret is that she experienced in the flesh and created something that let the surfers be free to perform without worrying about be naked.

I was hesitating so much if I really want to learn to surf because I was a little bit scared. But if you meet Veronica she treats you like an old friend and gives you a big smile. she tells you, that you can do everything you want and that we are strong woman:) We can do it:) savety is a very important point for her, what I really liked. She gives clear instructions and explains why you have it to do like this. she always encouraged me and clapped the hands when I was doing it good:) there was so much confidence because of the way she teaches you. And she was right: I could do it, yeah:) The way she is teaching is very professional, passionated and she loves it to help you and make you happy:) I think this was my best experience in costa rica so far, just because she is the best surfteacher:) you learn much more than surfing:) Muchas gracias por todo, Veronica

Today we had an amazing surf class from Carlos who is a very kind and relaxed guy working for Denga as instructor and co-worker in their shop. We checked and grabbed the right boards matching our experience and some surf shirts from Denga. Carlos carefully mounted the boards on top of our rentalcar and we took off to Playa Hermosa. At the beach we got a thorough instruction of the 3 steps from lying down to standing up. We practiced this for about 10 minutes and went into the water! The next hour or so Carlos was continuously searching the right waves, positioning us, coaching us and sending us off on the waves! This went very smooth and after 2 tries we were both standing on our boards! Carlos kept coaching us on timing, balance and position on the board and we kept on going and going. We skipped the break Carlos proposed as we were too enthusiastic! We caught a lot of waves and kept practicing and practicing with Carlos as our trainer in the water looking, positioning and coaching - helping us to start paddling ourselves and making progress. It was great fun and we were very happy with Carlos, his patience and relaxed but serious attitude! He’s a great guy and we highly recommend Denga and Carlos! ????????♂️ Pura Vida!
