Naryan-Mar (Russian: Нарья́н-Мар; Nenets: Няръянa марˮ, Nyar'yana marq, literally "red town") is a sea and river port town and the administrative center of Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is situated on the right bank of the Pechora River, 110 kilometers (68 mi) upstream from the river's mouth, on the Barents Sea. Naryan-Mar lies north of the Arctic Circle. Population: 21,658 (2010 Census); 18,611 (2002 Census); 20,182 (1989 Census); 17,000 (1973).

Place is by far the best place to eat in Naryan-Mar. Restaurant has pretty good beer all on draft and the only place in town you can read an English menu with descriptions so you know what you are ordering. Went here several times ordering the reindeer steaks and a salad. Its expensive for Naryan-Mar, but its not like there is anywhere else to go.

Трипадвайзер не в курсе. Это кафе уже давно закрыто. Когда-то было одним из красивых кафешек в центре города, где можно было попить кофе, скушать десерт. Теперь его нет.

What impressed me with this place was the pizza. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and they were really not saving on the pepperoni. Excellent taste. A bowling alley next door which I did not try out unfortunately. The waitress was a bit inattentive during my visit, but otherwise a nice place .

Ресторан хорош для деловых ужинов и банкетов.Есть северная кухня. Строганина, рыба и мясо оленя. Имеется редкая рыба нельма. Очень вкусно. Интерьер в северном стиле. имеется даже снегоход "Буран". Ресторан не дешевый

Вся еда уже приготовлена, осталось только погреть и все. Кого это устраивает, вполне можно бюджетно поесть. Также продается вкусная и разнообразная выпечка. Я пробовала пирожок с семгой и пирожок с брусникой (покупала с собой в дорогу). Столовка находится недалеко от поворота на аэропорт, можно заехать, если есть время. Еще видела местные жители активно покупали там торты.

Went to this restaurant based on an advise from a friend. Decided to try a local specialty, the "Stroganina". Frozen raw reindeermeat that is cut in thin slices. Served with pepper and salt and vodka.

Very nice pub close to the airport in Naryan-Mar. They have their own microbrewery, and the beer taste good. The interior is filled with artifacts from different planes.
