As I understand, Dairy Queen is a chain of fast food restaurants. Today in Granite Falls, that appeared to not be the case.
I could see nine people working behind the counter. Most seemed able and eager to help. The problem appeared to be a lack of leadership.

This is a charming little cafe with tables interspersed among displays for home decor, purses, scarves, jewelry, books and lotions. They have a drive through window as well. Helpful and charming folks - we had a breakfast sandwich at a reasonable price. Outdoor plants were in bloom.

We spent the night at the Hotel and in the morning went down for breakfast. There was four of us three had the buffet and it looks wonderful and many choices at the buffet I ordered off the menu and it was ok kind of slow but very good I would due the buffet next time.

We were both hungry so decided to get something to eat before heading to the casino. It was prom night and they were a little short handed but the very small wait wasn't a huge inconvenience. Good food, clean restaurant, friendly staff!

Jakes food is really good everytime. The only negative is that sometimes the servers are young and inexperienced. But none of us were born with experience so it is truly understandable for the servers to have a learning curve.

I stopped in late in the afternoon before the salad bar was assembled and dinner offered. My burger was a California, my second choice as the buffalo was not available. The burger was well prepared and flavorful, the bun excellent. I had waffle fries, although was interested in the side-salad and probably should have done myself a favor in that regard. They offer ribs and chicken wings, but said they were out of bone-in wings when I inquired. Supply problem?

This place prides themselves on homemade food, and they delivered. Good service, good supper-club-type food. The popovers were very good, the meats all cooked to order, and the house specialty of cheesy hashbrowns ended up being like rosti--and really, really delicious.

The young lady who prepared my salad with lettuce, ham, cheese, fresh tomatoes, onions and olives took great care in arranging things so it looked artful and very appetizing! I could not have done better myself. I was welcomed when I first walked in and was glad to see the dining area was really spotless. Great service, great staff and fresh and tasty food can be found here. Other Subways could learn a few things from the Granite Falls location. Well done!
