A good Hierro cheese broth. Try out the exotic Canary cuisine with dishes such as alfonsiños fish with periwinkles, quenefas de viejas fish rissoles with limpet sauce, sea urchins, fig biscuit and Hierro cheese broth. What are you waiting for?
Wonderful location right next to the sea,you can hear the waves whilst in bed, amazing. The hotel is quaint but in keeping with El Hierro. Very clean. A car is an essential as is quite remote. Food very good perhaps a little repetitive, but very well cooked and presented. The staff wher charming and very helpful a little Spanish helps. It's a peacful place to spend a short break. Only complaint no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We would go again.

We have a romantic place, cozy and comfortable. You can enjoy a nice dinner. We have an outdoor terrace.
We visited this establishment quite often and found the pizza's and pasta's to be superb. The pizza's are cooked to order and the addition or subtraction of ingredients is not an issue.Mike (the owner and a very pleasant young man) will look after your every need and if lack of English becomes a problem the able young lady cooking your pizza has good English to match her very pleasant personality. We sampled many excellent pizza's and also a very very good home made lasagne and highly recommend such. The restaurant which has both internal and external dining opens at 19.00 and remains open until 23.30. Pay a visit you will not be disappointed.

We visited here twice and had an excellent meal both times. One of us ate fish, cooked to perfection and the other meat which was tender and tasty. The salad is delicious and the potatoes and fries excellent and generous. We also tried two tapas dishes, fried local cheese and squid skewers, both were great as was the mojo and the bread and the house wine. We found it good value and enjoyed sitting out under the arches with sea views. We feel this place deserves to be higher in the Tripadvisor ranking, maybe the short walk away from the other cluster of restaurants means it doesn't get so many reviews. Just stroll along the very pleasant promenade by the sea away from the harbour to the end of town, no more than 5 minutes and you will find it on the ground floor of the big yellow building. It is worth the tiny extra effort!

There are only a few restaurants here and this is one good option. I only tried croquette pescado (not recommend unless you love tuna mushed up with potato) and Cuttlefish. Cuttlefish is good. Not the best place for seafood but I enjoyed my dinner.

As with all restaurants in the area having a little basic Spanish will greatly enhance your dining experience, furthermore this is a very popular restaurant and making a reservation is probably a necessity to getting a table. The restaurant has both a large internal dining area and street side external tables. The customary bread and mojo sauces here are a little above most others and complimented by a very good black garlic aioli. We were dining with a Spanish speaker and order a mix of squid and ham croquettes which were exceptionally good as was my partners salad which she stated was the best salad by far that she had on the island. It was fresh and substantial and apparently substantially home grown. We had a fried fish main which was very good in its simplicity. It is definitely worth a visit.

We had a couple of fabulous lunches here. The fish were Alfonsinos, a sort of deep water bream, with big eyes and delicate rosy skin, susceptible to overcooking. Ours- we had big ones between two people- were exceptional, and exceptionally well-cooked. Sweet and juicy with some salad and wrinkled potatoes (papas arrugadas) and sauces, 'mojos', picon (spicy. Red) and verde (herby. Green). We had some wine and complimentary shots of the local hooch. The service could not have been friendlier. Fair play to them, they displayed the LGBTQ flag as well. We paid about â¬40. Great value.

We visited this little restaurant situated prominently overcooking Restinga Harbour twice and any issues we had were really of out own making by not having basic Spanish. This little restaurant only seats about 12 people and is a popular spot with both locals and visitors alike. There is no English spoken (which is not unusual on the island) and hence a little bit of even pigeon Spanish will greatly enhance your choice and dining experience, or you can follow our example by pointing at the menu and wondering / hoping for the best as to what was going to appear for diner. On our first visit we ordered grilled fish and a salad, which was in its simplicity quite superb ( fancy restaurants should follow the example and simply leave fish to speak for itself on the plate). On the second occasion and with the help of a Spanish speaker we pre ordered Paella (which must be ordered a day in advanced as it is cooked to order) which in my humble opinion was a little over saffroned and over salted but tasty non the less.Well worth a visit, which will be greatly enhanced by having a few basic words of Spanish.

Rustic Canarian cuisine restaurant on the north coast of El Hierro, sea and mountain views, excellent service and a meal based on natural and local products. Specialists in meats and fresh fish.
We were introduced to this lovely restaurant by friends last night. As it was our first time (and the menu was in Spanish) they suggested we picked our own inside. I picked a fish and my husband a t bone steak, there was also a mixed grill and steak for the others in our group. The food when it came was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The staff were attentive throughout and catered to our every need.A fantastic restaurant, highly recommended. Thanks for your answer ,I hope see you soon.
