My friend and I stopped in one evening while in Argegno for just a desert and coffee having been out that day touring Bellagio and already having a feast of a lunch. We were drawn into La Piazzeta by a gentleman who we observed throughout the hour we were there greeting visitors walking by hoping to use his charm to lure them into the establishment. We asked before hand if it was OK to just have a coffee and desert since we already had a large lunch and we were told that it would be fine. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived. We were promptly seated outside hoping to people watch, but the large planters surrounding the outdoor seating area blocked the view of the small plaza. We proceeded to order a cuppachino, coffee americano, water and two tiramisu. PLEASE NOTE - this review is less about the quality of food served then it is about the value of what you get and their business practices. The rating of the tiramisu was a toss up...one person thought it OK the other person thought it tasted like it was a few days old. The real shocker came when the bill arrived.... 27 Euros !!! For so little food and drink I can only imagine what one would be paying for dinner !!! You better bring 100s of Euros if you don’t want to end up washing dishes to pay off your debt. How can one justify a service charge of 6 Euros for two people to just sit down for basically a cup of coffee ??? Better to drive down to Como and sit out on the glorious roof top of the Como Hilton and enjoy the same, but better quality deserts , for less money along with AMAZING music and views.... and you can charge your bill !!!That’s right, adding insult to injury...we were informed that we could not charge the bill to our credit card because ..” the machine was broken” ..... please.... how old a line is this for establishments to avoid paying the small credit card fee. Why not just post a sign in front of your restaurant clearly saying.... CASH ONLY ? That way guests can decide whether to eat there BEFORE sitting down.Lastly.... I had to laugh when the bill arrived . Along with the bill there was a printed card in Italian ...which I was unable to translate but it had TripAdvisor in bold letters.....I’m assuming it was a card encouraging guests to submit reviews ...the owner clearly understood the power of Trip Advisor in guiding customers in their dining decision. All I can say is.... look elsewhere if you seek quality dining with value pricing and service. Remember, reviews from customers who enter seeking just a coffee and desert should matter just as much as customers coming in for a three course meal.

On our way for a walk and swim in Gandria we popped in here to pick up some food for lunch. What a fantastic find! Friendly service with obvious passion for great food. Fresh ingredients made into an amazing ciabatta and stunning coconut cakes. The ice tea and apple juice were both delicious and refreshing and on a hot day proved perfect to refresh us. You do need to ensure you seek this place out going down the steps to reach it. So pleased we found it and will return on our next visit. Thanks a lots for the nice review. We are glad that you enjoyed our kitchen and had a good lunch time. It is always a pleasure to cook and prepare good food for who appreciate it. Thanks again and see you soon.

we visited the restaurant on several occasions while we stayed on the resort. everything about the experience is excellent, from the maitre de, Roberto, with his magc tricks for the kids, to the amazing waiters. they have a fixed price 3 or 4 course menu, which i would recommend better value than choosing piecemeal from the menu. we chose the 4 course menu. Its was very good silver service indeed. the wines were also reasonable priced and good quality. Evening meals here are an event and be prepared to take your time. make sure you eat in the conservatory area, the other area seems to have the younger families in more of a hurry. they do offer a buffet selection, which suited our kids very well.Dear Gilesford, Thank you for reviewing your recent dining experience at Ristorante & Bistro San Marco at Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort. We couldn't agree more! I am so pleased to read that you and your family enjoyed your meals and the service provided to everyone. And of course, a personal visit from Roberto "Magician-in-Chief & Head of Operations" himself makes it all that much more special. We look forward to welcoming you back and hope it will be soon.
