Everything needed is within the secure area including shopping, hardware store, laundry, restaurants, bar and a casino. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Shuttles available to Panama City. English is spoken quite well.

Reviewed By Hafid IWe did not stay at the hotel but stop by the restaurant to eat. Blown away with all the food and attention, went there with my family and they had all the traditional plates. This gem of a restaurant and it's food are getting harder to find in Panama. This place is 100% recommended

Good cold & hot water pressure/ AC works / WiFi works but you have to enter your password in the lobby it doesn't work in the room. Received 4 bars of soap but no wash cloths. Good price and in the middle of Colon. Free porn be careful when channel surfing with children in the room. It was traumatic. If you want to pay $66/night for a family of 4 and don't mind Roaches, mixed match linens, no ice machines, coffee maker or mini fridge in the room then this hotel is for you.

OVER PRICED and COLD FOOD
Reviewed By Rolando AThis Hotel, in addition to needing to improve its structures that are covered with green mold, needs many improvements for the high price they charge. To enter the bathrooms, you to go through the shower first. If you have taken a shower, the entire floor is wet and makes it difficult to enter the bathroom. Does not have a telephone in the room to request services and does not have hot water in the shower. The food, besides being very expensive, is served COLD and not just dinner. Breakfast with a couple of COLD eggs. NOBODY has knowledge of HOTELS, everything is improvised, even the activities that they claim to have in the hotel. We had a reservation for three nights and had to leave the hotel the next day.ZERO measures against COVID. The owner is against vaccination and absolutely NOBODY uses masks and there is not a single post with sanitizing gel.

Stripped out builds, garbage and waist six feet high on the sides of the roads. Do not walk the streets at night. The reason they don't answer the phone is because its fake. Do not get out of your car at this hotel. There will be guys hanging out side waiting to mug your. This sight needs to be taken down.

Unbeatable value with a home stay feeling
Reviewed By Dr_MulleThe Ofiuras Hostel is on the road beetween Colon and Portobelo, approx. 2 km before Portobelo on the left hand side. It is situated right on the seaside and offers new rooms with different standards. I had a double room with fan and ensuite bathroom and a porch which was lovely and unbeatable value. The host Cynthia speaks some English and tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible, in some way this place got sort of a homestay feeling as the kids are running around and playing. There are restaurants nearby, Captain Jacks is 50m away, breakfast can be ordered. A scuba place is also within walking distance. The buses stop right in front, so it's no problem going into town. I loved that it was right on the sea, you could jump into the water in the morning.
