Was there last May of 2019 and was told the Distillery is not open to tourist. But i did enjoy visiting the little town of Coquinvillier and had a nice lunch at the only restaurant there.

The first vineyard in Normandy : nothing has been left to chance in this unbelievable adventure ! The notion of “terroir” is the main theme of the guided tour. Firstly, a presentation of the former quarry introduces the site’s geology. Then, at the highest point of the vineyard, soak in the surrounding countryside. A little viticulture. The visit culminates with a wine tasting session in our reception room with panoramic views of the vineyard. You will experience the beauty of “Arpents du Soleil” and the harmony which emanates from our site. The wines which you will taste have been produced with respect for nature and the terroir.

We were 4 adults and were well received. For 12 euros (3 pp) we had a brilliant and well informed tour of the press, cellars, and distillery; very interesting, good value for money and learnt a lot about how cider, pommeau (bit like port or sherry) and calvados are produced. We then had a tasting of different ciders, pommeau and different ages of calvados. No pressure to buy but of course we did as it was so good! Tour is at 11am or 3pm and in English, she spoke English exceptionally well and was extremely engaging.very good tour. Highly recommended.
