Mezcaloteca

Reviewed By JanoMW - Ajijic, Mexico

We had an hour tasting (actually went on a bit longer), with an extremely knowledgeable and interesting host. We learned much more than just the tasting (and its effects). Much about the origins, types, context, processes of mezcal and our host selected varieties well matched to our sensibilities. We (a couple) each signed up for 5 but we selected 5 different ones each, so we in essence each got to taste all ten. Needless to say we came away with a few bottles and knowledge that helped us as we sampled and acquired at a few other mezcal specialty shops - which are quite common in this beautiful city!
