Simon, the instructor did an excellent job at balancing the safety, instruction, fun atmosphere and success of each student. I was very impressed with the set up of the workshop, the instructor and my sons knife.

If you have a chance to attent one of the NZ Textile Experiences, take it! I very much enjoyed a private felt workshop in the studio of Colleen herself. She is a wonderful teacher (and great artist); explaining the felt techniques clearly and always happy to share lots of thoughts and examples to get inspired yourself.

Golden Hills Equestrian Centre

Highly recommend for those who enjoy horses. We get to bring the horses in, groom them, saddle them up and then enjoy some warm up in the lovely big outdoor arena and then head off for a trek around Sharon’s beautiful farm. The sights of the nelson bay and mountainous backdrop is stunning ! Such a great experience - and so close to Nelson city. All the horses are so well cared for and Sharon and her team know how to teach you the right way to ride and ‘communicate’ with your horse for a happy and safe ride. A must do when visiting Nelson !

All classes are built around the abundance of fresh, seasonal, local produce and are influenced by the various cuisines from around the world that I have enjoyed on my travels. Classes offer a "hands-on" experience for participants, at the end of which you will share a meal of the food you have created or will have goodies to take home.
