Top 8 Cemeteries in Dallas, Texas (TX)

March 5, 2022 Kaleigh Reichenbach

You may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise. You'll find several museums with vast art collections and fascinating specialty museums like The Sixth Floor Museum/Texas School Book Depository, which, though small in size, offers an immense amount of information about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And of course, visit a local steakhouse for a terrific (and enormous) meal.

DFW National Cemetery

We lay wreaths at Christmas here every year, and the setting is a perfect resting place for those who have served their country. Its rolling hills provide the serenity one needs to sit and reflect on what it takes to maintain our freedom. The grounds are well maintained and there is plenty of room to park.

This was a great place to visit to read headstones from the history of Texas. Pioneer Park Cemetery is a conglomeration of four graveyards with the remains of several of the city’s earliest founders. It is located in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA) and directly east of Pioneer Plaza. It is the final resting place for four Dallas mayors, the city's early business leaders and heroes of the Texas revolution. Also located in the cemetery is the Confederate War Memorial.
