Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Brno. The charms of the Czech Republic's second-largest city may not be immediate, but spend a few days in this Moravian town and Brno's vibrant, authentic Czech ambiance will win you over. It's a fine way to experience Czech life without the teeming herds of tourists that visit Prague. Art Nouveau, Empire and Neoclassical buildings stand in the bar- and restaurant-packed old city center. Leafy parks abound. Be sure to get a photo with a local landmark, the suspiciously crocodilian Brno Dragon statue.

I am still surprised from this place. You will not like it for the atmosphere, because the old cafe is not restored in very sensitive way. But the very friendly staff offers here every week changing evening menu of three of four foods. I started to come here just two month ago, but I do it once a week and I am looking forward to do it again. You get much more for what you expect and for what you pay!

I visited this restaurant for couple of times for lunch menu. It's almost always full and it offers interesting meals and big portions. They taste good and are for reasonable price. This is also a good place for plate of a hot soup, they have tasty ones.

I just had to visit this cafe after hearing great reviews from friends. Outside seating is very nice, however it's smoking, so some stink flowed to us. Service was very fast and friendly and cocktails just great! I had "Penicilin" due to my love to ginger and it was great. Friends review on "Margarita" was also raving. They have very nice and well balanced sangria as well. Recommend!

I have to agree with the other raving reviews: beautiful functionalist architecture and design, nice food (great carrot cake!), pleasant service. Definitely a good place to rest after a visit to the Tugendhat villa.

Although going by the name "Jedna Basen Wine and Coffee Bar" this is actually a very good Czech restaurant recommended by our daughter who works in Brno. It is in the centre of Brno but a few minutes walk from some of the central squares. The menu is available in English as well as Czech. They have a set menu but also a range of specials on each day with a good variety of dishes. The staff were welcoming and the food was both tasty and reasonably priced.

We ate at Cafe Pilat after a long day of hiking south of Brno. We sat outside in the square and the location and service were excellent (our server even spoke some English). We shared a appetizer sampler that everyone enjoyed. I really likes the chicken and rice dish I had which included pickled broccoli and small onions. Highly recommended as an alternative to the standard Czech restaurant menu.

We are new breakfasts & brunch cafe and bar in the heart of Brno city.
If you wanna give a good start to your day, visit Bavard! Breakfast menu is amazing. Had benedicts with ricotta cheese which absolutely knocked down all the other places in Brno. Coffee was good as well. And the atmosphere of the bar takes you somewhere...to France.Thumbs up! Definitely coming back!

I wanted to try this café as I walk by almost every day, but I have never actually been there. I paid 170 crowns for one lemonade and one cake. Lemonade was made out of sparkling water without any syrup and with raspberries only and it was delicious. The cake was big, but too expensive (89 crowns for piece) and not good at all.
