From the beautiful accommodation to the warm welcome and friendly service, this little paradise checked all the boxes for us on our tour of northern Portugal. Breakfast was ordered from one day to the next and delivered to our accommodation the next morning at a time of our choosing. All safety precautions appeared to be observed. There was a pool with plenty of sunbeds and shades, and areas to sit outside each of the converted farm buildings. The location was stunning, the peace and serenity hard to match. I would highly recommend the wine-tasting experiences offered. The cheeses and conserves produced on the farm were also of exceptional quality. Worthy of five stars in every category.

The guest house Grandma's house has 6 rooms, with environments inspired by the landscape of the Douro Valley, in the north of Portugal. Near the Douro Wine Region and the Archaeological Park of the Coa Valley, both World Heritage and the Natural Park of International Douro. It is nineteenth manor house inserted in the Historical Center of the town of Torre de Moncorvo, all rooms have bathroom, telephone, TV and Air Conditioning, Wireless, living rooms, dining room and a magnificent interior courtyard. Grandma's house is undoubtedly a prime location for a stay demure and great comfort.

Reviewed By NilePertBeautiful old building in a lovely, historic village that is nicely a little outside the Douro tourism mainstream, but still just a short drive from some great wineries. - Friendly staff, I think each of the 3 or 4 folks I dealt with spoke English - Contrary to previous reviews, good wifi - Typical breakfast spread, some breads, cheeses, fruits and yogurt. The selection of fruit preserves was nice. - Great village, and this is right next to the old church. Downsides: - Mattress/pillows pretty poor - Its a historic old home, so the walls are thin. You'll hear folks if they are chatting in the hallway. - No elevator of course, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues, but its just 1-2 stories.

Reviewed By iskilaAlojamento muito bem localizado e com um staff muito simpático. Avisaram-nos que a internet era fraca nos quartos e apesar de não conseguirmos aceder no telemóvel, no computador era possível e pudemos ter serões a ver séries na netflix.

Reviewed By markhiddingaWie droomt er niet van om vanuit je huisje een overzicht te hebben over de wijngaarden, het dorp Torre de Moncorvo en vele bergen die het zicht rijk zijn. Je rijdt langs een stijle beklinkerde weg door de wijngaarden naar je huis. Het huis is ruim en geschikt voor 4 of 6 mensen. Het huisje die wij mochten betreden wren 3 kamers en 3 badkamers. We waren er vroeg in het voorjaar. Dan is het nog fris buiten. Daar bood de openhaard een zeer aangename oplossing voor. Het huisje is ruim deugdelijk ingericht. Met keukentje en een goede zit tafel. De familie is erg gastvrij en erg behulpzaam. Zij helpen je ook om een weg te vinden in eventuele uitstapjes. Ontbijten doe je goed in een lokaal café in het dorp. Vlak bij de kerk is een uitmuntend restaurant.
