Reviewed By randyc402Unfortunately, we could only spend one night in this comfortable mountain home. We were greeted with a sweet wagging tail by Dylan, Annalisa's rescued dog. From the beginning we were treated to warm hospitality and welcomed to a beautiful spotless B&B in a bucolic mountain setting that surrounds you. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was a tasty combination of Annalisa's apple cake, ginger cookies and home made jams. If we return to this area we would not hesitate to book a longer stay at this quiet home.

Set at an altitude of 840 metres, La Dimora Della Zarina is in Mormanno in the heart of the National Park of Pollino. Reviewed By CoboconThis was a welcome surprise in Mormanno. Pina and husband received us like family in their impeccably renovated building in the heart of the old town in front of Cathedral. The rooms and baths are new, in great taste, super comfortable. Breakfast was great, in a beautiful wood clad living room with views of the cathedral. she even baked home made cakes for us. Highly recommended, well decorated, a real surprise for us. We went in search of my wife’s father birth documents in Mormanno. Pina and husband provided support, guidance, friendship and a great stay!

Reviewed By slippery2This June (2019) was our second visit to this property and the delightful community of Mormanno. Staying at B&B II Fruscio is more like a home than the traditional B&B. Excellent, secure parking and a secure private entrance to your top floor accomodations, our "room" had a queen bed and an additional cot that we did not use, and a loft. Access to the large balcony with views of Mormanno and the valley to the west and north is gained directly from the room or the common kitchen and dining area. Other reviews address the many attributes of this small yet historic town. Relax in your private and exceptionally quiet suite. Hostess and Host Luisa and Bertino are third generation family from the area and are fun and knowledgeable about the city, history and sights. Be sure and inquire about the walking adventure across the old railroad bridge. Ciao............

Fantastic place and amazing food
Reviewed By olgas862018My stay at Mario’s fantastic B&B was beyond all my expectations. If you are looking for an authentic southern Italian experience that’s the place for you. Breathtaking view of the mountains, organic homemade cousin, unique decor and a short walk to adorable little village of Mormanno will definitely stay in my memory forever. Just keep in mind, that house is very exclusive, has maybe 4 rooms, so guests book it way ahead of time. Mario and his wife were an amazing hosts, very helpful and approachable. Thank you thank you thank you.

Quiet traditional place in the heart of the town
Reviewed By Giulio1412Excellent location, just 2 min walk from the square but far enough from the nightly noises and guarantee a great sleep. Old-style furniture in the rooms nicely arranged around the common areas of 1st and 2nd floors, the whole environment has fully preserved the flavour of past decades, when this building was first the house of a well-off family, and then a secondary school. Restored a few years ago to host this beautiful b&b. The rooms are spacious, clean and luminous. The breakfast has (as usual, on this side of Italy) an excess of sweets, a more balanced offer would be probably welcomed by a wider spectrum of customers. Wi-fi was not working at the time of our visit, and shall reportedly be re-activated soon. A very good choice, a place to go back without much hesitation.

Ottimo hotel - Very nice and affordable hotel with fantastic view
Reviewed By IhaveBeenHereThis affordable hotel has a fantastic view on the town and neighboring mountains. Spacious and clean rooms with new furniture leave a good impression. Francesco who has met me late in the evening was very kind and welcoming and showed me to the restaurant by the Cathedral and back to the hotel. Please note, the road leading to the hotel gets steep at the end and may pose a problem for an overloaded car.

Arredato con molto gusto in uno stile essenziale, che richiama l'arredo monastico, ma al contempo elegante. Sicuramente la “chicca” è il profilo altimetrico della catena montuosa coast to coast del bancone della reception, geniale! Consiglio anche il ristorante, ravioli con burrata semplicemente divini! Tutto poi accompagnato dal personale professionale, cordiale e sorridente!
