We've been to many different Applebee's throughout Texas and honestly, I've only been to one Applebee's which I thought was exceptional. The Applebee's here in Del Rio is not bad, not good but somewhere in between, which makes it average just like most other Applebee's we've visited. The food is expensive but only ok, the service... especially at the bar, is hit and miss. One day you might get a great waiter, waitress or bartender, the next totally rude, dismissive or even absent service. I'd say for the sake of true quality and value for the money, there are better choices in town and in Texas.

We tried to pay with a Chili's gift card given to us at Christmas. The card was rejected. When we went home and checked the gift card on our computer, it showed that there is a $20 balance on the card! Ordered an appetizer. Waited 22 minutes for appetizer to arrive. Meals were served after waiting 22 minutes, and 2 minutes later, the appetizer arrived.Hey, we're sorry that we messed up in so many ways. Very nice chain sports bar. Food was very good from a varied menu with something for everyone. Our server was outstanding. Very polite and helpful since this was our first visit. Plenty of seating in "family" or bar areas. Lots of TVs for any event. We will definitely return.

They have burgers, tacos and everything in between! Great for families, couples, kids, and watching sports. We had The Big Boy Burger and the basic. Ask for the queso cheese sauce on your burger and you won't be disappointed.
