Top 8 Bar food in Cascais, Central Portugal, Portugal

Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Cascais. A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes in force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing. The Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum, a former palace, is now open to the public and displays an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

Beach Bars usually are fatty, predictable and rather low quality. This beach bar offers wide selection of fresh seafood such as oysters and different kind of fish, salads, soups, meat, beer, wine, ice cream and much more. The service is quick and friendly, location is pretty and nicely organised. One of the nicest beach bars we’ve visited,

We visited Tasca da Linha last Sunday to celebrate my birthday. The venue is excellent as it looks directly onto the marina. João, one of the owners was our server and promptly gave us a table. (We had booked in advance as we had our dog with us and hence requested for a table outside). Our food and drinks arrived promptly and João gave us great advice with what to choose and how it must be eaten. Unfortunately the Portobello mushrooms with mozzarella cheese was over, but no big deal, we will go back to taste that another time! Upon hearing that it was my birthday, João promptly brought out a delicious, gooey, warm brownie with chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries, complete with a lit candle and proceeded to sing “Parabéns à Vôce!” (Happy Birthday) It was such a lovely gesture. Obligada João! After dinner we enjoyed some ginja, the must try cherry liqueur and an espresso, or bica as the Portuguese say. We will surely visit again.HelloWe are very happy that the TASCA da LINHA is a great place to taste and enjoy. Our aim is to offer the best possible experience. The rest is on account of the view which is really fantastic. We hope to see you soon.

Server: she was very rude and impatient when I inquired about using the complimentary WiFi; it was not connecting and she sarcastically said she uses it over the entire premise thus implied I was the problem, even another server was unsuccessful using the password she provided to me and she then proceeded to fuss with him about it. My order: I asked for sweet potato fries which she nodded they had but she brought me regular fries and I was not about to correct her because I was afraid she might spit on my corrected order. I usually tip servers, even for below average service, but this was the 3rd time I refused to do so during my decades long dining experiences but I did tip the helpful busboy. Would i return: maybe BUT only if she is not my server!

Between the soggy fries at tourist traps and the snooty overpriced locales is this gem of a place that offers incredibly modern flavor combinations of fresh ingredients, all delivered by the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Our friends loved this place so much we all went back again on our last night. From specialty cocktails (mezcal & jalapeño, passion fruit white sangria) to flavorful salads and sides - it’s one of those places where you find yourselves passing around the dishes saying ‘you’ve got to try this!’ Plentiful menu options, all with high quality, fresh ingredients. The servers were all friendly and although busy would still take the time to chat and teach us a little Portuguese. Highly recommend you get there early for drinks to get a table, then order food when the kitchen opens at 7:15/7:30.
