The trip had few stages, each of them was perfect. Sebastiano was a great guide, he picked us up from our hotel on time, he was full of passion showing us this great Etna and answering our questions. The weather was perfect. We were surprised how green the area of Etna is! She was talking to us, we heard few thunders. Very interesting tour, next time probably we will discover Etna by foot. It is very big area, full of trees.

We booked the high altitude high because the summit tour is currently unavailable. Nonetheless, we had a great time. The tour was well organized, we were able to rent some hiking shoes and jackets. We had our own guide and he drove us to the cable car and arranged the tickets, everything went smoothly. We hiked to a crater and our guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. It was really cold at the top due to the wind. Afterwards, we drove to one of the caves, and were given helmets with lights before entering the cave. All in all, great experience and highly recommended!

The AltaQuota Trek excursion is a tour that allows you to experience the thrill of walking literally surrounded by surreal landscapes. The first part of the tour takes place in the gondola lift, from the Sapienza refuge (1960 m) to the arrival station of the Etna cable car (2510 m), from here we will proceed to trek to visit the Pian del Lago, a false floor volcanic sand that creates a surreal lunar landscape, you will then ascend the crater of the 2001 eruption, from where you can admire the nearby summit craters and the coast. Once you reach the lava fronts of the last eruptions (2018) you will reach a very panoramic area on the famous Valle del Bove, a vast depression generated by the collapse of an ancient volcanic building. The return, at the discretion of the guide, after evaluating the weather conditions and the capacity of the group, can foresee the descent with the cableway or trekking on sandy gullies to the parking lot. The maximum altitude reached with this tour is approximately 2650 meters.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Etna cableway ticket (30 €)

Exclusions: Transfer from Hotel (Extra service)

This tour far exceeded our expectations! At first we were a little surprised to be told we were going to a saffron farm, as that hadn't been mentioned previously. It actually turned out to be a fascinating experience. We got to try the local saffron, including saffron infused beer, honey along with some of the local cheese and meats. We then went to castello tricerchi for a tour of a vineyard, cellars and the castle itself. The place was stunningly beautiful, and we got to have a wine tasting in the castle itself. After that we went to Martoccia which was another beautiful vineyard just outside montalcino. The cellar tour was fascinating, and it was followed by a 4 course lunch with wine tasting. The food was spectacular, and the wine was incredible. We were lucky enough to be able to try the new 2015 brunello which hadn't even been labelled yet. Our tour guide Nadia was extremely knowledgable and very relaxed. The tour actually finished 2 hours late, but she didn't seem to mind. She even let us store our wine in her office so we could go and explore Montalcino in the evening. Fantastic tour. Would thoroughly recommend
