Seafront Zeebrugge

For 12.50 euros you get entrance to the Foxtrot class submarine, The Lighthouse ship and the three buildings that house displays of sea and seafaring.
It's worth the fee for the submarine alone as that was well done as you pass the length of the inside seeing the cramped quarters that the submariners worked in.
The Lighthouse ship was interesting to walk around but it is currently undergoing a bit of a spruce up - this doesn't stop you from seeing anything.
The sea attraction is really aimed for kids but there are a few displays that would be of interest for adults too (such as the torpedoes and the model ships).
For 12.50 each, it's good value and worth the visit.

Port of Zeebrugge

Reviewed By L R - Bury

We went on a P&O Wednesday to Friday Hull to Zeebrugge trip, which included a ska/mod band on the Wednesday and Thursday night and it was fantastic.
The ship is a smaller version than the one that goes to Amsterdam and doesn't include the 2 cinemas. The cabin is a small bunk bed affair that does the job of getting a good night's sleep.
Bruges is wonderful an extremely pretty and lovely city. We took a river cruise for 8 euro's per person for 30 minutes which was well worth it and gave us an opportunity to observe all the wonderful sights, including a lovely pub overlooking the river, I think it was called the wall of beer. It did indeed have a fantastic array of beers, we had a pint of lager for 5 euro's. They also had an offer of 4 small glasses of beer with different flavours, including a couple of snacks for 10 euro's which lots of people were trying.
All in all it was very nice and we would definitely visit Bruges again in the future.

Knokke Boat Zeebrugge

Rent a high performance luxuary motorboat at the Belgian North Sea coast with or without skipper for half a day, a day or more.Navigate to Breskens, Vlissingen, Blankenberge, Ostend, Nieuwpoort or farther. Have a lunch in any port. See some seals or dolphins in the estuary of the Scheldt river. Or just do some waterski.

We booked a trip for my wife's birthday, we were going to spot seals. In a nutshell: the crew was professional, the equipment was superb, the trip was worth every penny! As soon as we arrived, we felt comfortable. During the trip, the crew checked regularly if we were doing fine (son is only 7 years old) and if the speed of the RIB was ok. After we spotted the seals, we got champaign and discussed the planning of the remainder of the trip. Again, worth every penny. I can only recommend this company! It was a thrill ride, delivered by professionals.

We took the shuttle in Zeebrugge to Bruges on a 75 degree day. The ride there wasnt as bad as the one back which was terrible. The bus had no windows that could be opened and we got on the freeway with people standing (which should not be allowed in Belgium). We arrived at 3:25pm for the ride back and from the moment we got on the bus it was hell. The bus driver was so rude, the temperature of the bus was soo hot people were pleading to go. He stayed there and ignored us and kept on waiting for more people. People continued pleading. He said NO and kept ignoring the passengers. We felt like cattle waiting to be slaughtered. When we finally left after 15 minutes into the ride the tire exploded and were stranded on the freeway. The trip from hell.
If its a little warm in Bruges DO NOT ride this company. No ventilation, NO customer service, RUDE driver. And be extra careful if you are standing since you will be on the freeway.

St. Donatian's Cathedral

Reviewed By Robby G C - Toronto, Canada

After we visited the Seafronr Zeebruffe, we headed to visit the St. Donatian's Cathedral. It looked quite beautiful with its red bricks and its tower standing out!
What we hadn't anticipated is that there were about 50 people from the Middle East. I greeted them and sat next to one of them. They were nice. After admiring the Cathedral, I stood up and took pictures at heart's content.
The stained-glass windows were quite modern, but still stylish. I liked the white pillars with wooden chairs neatly ordered.
At one place I saw a model of a ship and a bit further a bigger ship. This church must be praying for the sailors on the North Sea.
The only paintings I saw were small and was about the timeline about what Jesus endured until his crucifixion and resurrection.
I left the church with a smile, saying bye to my new friends.
I enjoyed my time here. Everything was quite peaceful. A nice little church to enjoy.
