High Rocks Vista

Reviewed By relayer - Newtown, United States

We have been here a few times over the the years. Considering we just returned from a trip to the Canadian Rockies, High Rocks could be underwhelming. However, we find it a very cool part of Bucks County. Glad we went again. We walked up from the Ralph Stover parking lot, very easy stroll, about a half mile each way to the dirt trail with lots of viewpoints.

Ralph Stover State Park

I found out about this park recently, so my friend and I went for a hike. It is really a nice place to go hiking, mountain biking, or rock climbing. The views were pretty good. The leaves are starting to change now, which made it nicer. I can imagine what it looks like with complete autumn foliage. The parking lots are small, so it fills up quickly. I recommend getting there early.

The Gardenville Hotel Bar

I come here with 30 plus hungry antiques dealers about six times per year for our meetings. Everyone loves the food and with our bunch who are picky about almost everything, that's saying something. The Chef, Jimmy, has a wonderful menu with many choices. Whether it's the entrees, sandwiches, or appetizers, it's all good and cooked to order. The desserts are all home made and quite delicious. The serving staff headed by Kate is fantastic. You can't go wrong here. The beer list is long and varied. Check this place out.

We stopped in to the Buck's County Brewery after visiting a few covered bridges, we sat outside at a picnic table and had a few of their delicious beers and picked up a 4 pack to go.
