We visited National Park Northern Velebit just before winter came to a door.. It was a beautifull sunny day. We hiked from Zavižan to Rossijeva koliba , and back.Took us cca 5 hours. Nature is really stunning..

We were welcomed by a warm greeting and a little story about the museum which was out of our expectations! It has 3 floors of interactive features and beautiful little short films. At the end of the museum there’s a special lift which represents a cave (amazing experience). There’s also a big souvenir shop with a lot of products to choose from. In front of the entrance there’s a big machine that mimics winds. A MUST if you’re nearby.

This is the first forestry museum in Croatia. In permanent collection you can see over 300 history exhibits - from transport vehicles, old forestry maps, photos, documents and specialized literature to even game trophies.
