Of the many things I liked about this park, I keep thinking about the nature trail, the Gopher Tortoise Trail that meandered through the forest and had spots with beautiful wildflowers.
My kids loved the playground that's right on Lake Seminole and they wore themselves out running around so much.
The staff were friendly and we liked the handmade turtle display right in front of the visitor's center.
It was great to be able to see this part of the state, so beautifully preserved with this state park!

We took in a Saturday afternoon matinee of Swamp Gravy in downtown Colquitt. The play takes place in an old cotton warehouse and has a nice gift shop/museum with some interesting tidbits about the town of Colquitt. The play consisted of about 60 townspeople who are very talented in telling the stories of this year's theme, "Home." The songs, choreography and vignettes are engaging--some lighthearted and funny, some that will make you cry. You experience a wide range of emotions sure to touch each audience member. The venue is great and the play is told "in the round" with audience members on three of the four sides of the theater. There were some sound issues which made it difficult to hear some of the lines in the play and the actors could have paused more between big laughs to make sure everyone heard what was next. All in all, not a bad seat in the house and a play that really reminds you of what the south is about--loving one another and finding home no matter the stage of your life. Tickets are $22, but $20 for groups of 20 or more. Nice restroom facilities and cheap concessions - popcorn and water for a $1 at intermission! Just a sweet, thoughtful, local production sure to tug at your heart strings. Go see it!

This is a beautiful park along the Chattahoochee River in the very northernmost part of Florida. Alabama is just a few miles north and Georgia is directly across the river. The park is geared for outdoor types and offers fishing, boating, picnicking and a campground. There are restrooms on site and it is a great place for enjoying a sunny day and birding. Neals Landing also has a historic element. A kiosk near the boat ramp tells the story of Ekanachatte ("Red Ground"), a Creek Indian village of the 18th and 19th centuries. A fun place for an afternoon in the park!

Spent three nights with our travel trailer. Gorgeous setting along Lake Seminole. Our campsite opened on the lake near the fishing pier. Beautiful park in a remote setting. Campsites easy to back into---restroom and showers were very clean and well maintained. There are several hiking trails in and around the campgrounds. You can turn the trails into one long loop trail through the forest and along some pastures. Boating, kayaking, fishing are available. Watched fisherman catch their limit every day. Historic town of Marianna is nearby.

Owners Greg and Les are extraordinary hosts, treating guests as valued friends. They are quality people--and attract quality patrons. The entire camp is beautifully furnished, well maintained, and most comfortable. My experiences with other camps led me to believe "Out of Oder" signs on amenities, run-down negligence, and aloof or even rude staff were to be expected. What a totally refreshing change to find and thoroughly enjoy Lizard Landing without these prevalent annoyances. We have visited on "day pass" and rented cabins overnight. Glad to discover that we don't have to accept lousy accommodations and rude people.

We love Florida Parks, we only camped one night but hope to return. The cave was wonderful, “V” was great and she loves showing visitors the formations and explaining them. We were lucky to go off season and be the only ones on the tour. Some folks may worry about bats, they have a very undeserved reputation. There were 2 teeny ones tucked into the ceiling sleeping, very cool to see!

Very nice place for the family to spend the day, picnic, swim relax. It has lifeguards, a diving board, a slide, a playground for the kids and covered picnic areas.
