La Rita Theater is a step back in time. You almost feel like you stepped through a portal, into the time it was built. If you get a chance to experience the atmosphere take it, you wont regret it.

We had a wonderful evening at Vingo Vineyards. Enjoyed visiting with the owners and learning about their wines. The historic facility is beautiful and it was wonderful to sit in front of the fire and relax. Can't believe that a little town like Dalhart has a venue as fabulous as this! It's a must stop as you drive through!

It was time to get out of the truck...... the Flying Pig was a very ni e place to enjoy some very good coffee and some fun snacks.... the best service .....

This is a free museum in downtown Dalhart, though donations are welcome. There are varied exhibits ranging from the history of the XIT Ranch and how it funded the state capitol in Austin, how the cowboys lived and drove cattle North. We enjoyed the dust bowl exhibit which is still a work in progress and the exhibits about life in the Texas panhandle. The wildlife exhibit is well done, and the rodeo info was interesting. There is a small gift shop and nice restrooms. Parking is on the street. We spent a little over an hour here and enjoyed it.
7. Dust Bowl Bar & Grill
Newly remodeled 12 lane bowling alley with 25 plus arcade games for family entertainment . Arcade games come along with a Redemption prize area with many fun selections. The bowling lanes have a easy scoring system for all ages to enjoy. Food and drinks are served from our bowling servers to make your day of games and fun the best experience
