The Fun Spot

I stopped by here last weekend and I was impressed with the variety of attractions they had to offer. There was a large mini golf course, go-karts (with a separate mini go-kart course for younger kids), roller skating, an arcade, a ninja course, an indoor playground, and a two floor laser tag arena. I couldn't stay for long so I just decided to play a game of laser tag. We were shown a short video that explained how to play and then we were allowed to pick our own teams. We played in a game where you could tag players or bases for more points. Throughout the game, two players on each team would randomly get activated with super rapid fire mode or spy mode. Spy was cool because it changed your vest to the other team's color which let you go tag their base without being noticed. The LED lights in the arena were really cool and it made the arena pop a lot more than other places I've played before. When I come back, I'm definitely doing to buy their combo pack which includes admission to all of the attractions they have to offer. I didn't check out their snack bar but the menu showed a good variety of options at reasonable prices. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!

By many standards this is a smallish place but as a skier from Ohio I found West Mountain to be more than adequate! It is very convenient to the Northway and the town of Glens Falls. Efficient systems for getting passes and equipment rental. This was a weekday and no kids out of school so everything moved very quickly and traffic on the slopes was minimal. Reasonably priced food and beverage in the main lodge at the base. Lift tickets were not exorbitant although the price break for older skiers was rather minimal. I did like that you could rent equipment for just four hours which worked well with the 4 hour ski pass I had purchased. Other places I have skied have a set daily price for rentals. I skied from the the northwest lift area mostly. Good trails/runs. The northwest lodge restrooms and storage areas were open but the food counter there was not. Nice views of the Hudson to the southeast, Glens Falls, the mountains of Vermont. Very good night skiing here.
