The group of guys working at the shop in Keystone were friendly and extremely patient. The guys in the shop never batted an eye and were extremely patient. The family in front of me was a single mom with two children under the age of ten. One of which was a child with special mental needs that was yelling most of the time. The guys never lost their cool and were extremely helpful. The boots and skis I rented were fairly priced and in excellent condition. The location is easy to drive to or walk to if you stay near River Run.

Loveland Pass

Reviewed By NorthTX - Dallas, United States

It’s well above the tree line so the views of the mountains all around you is amazing. We did this in August and you could still see some snow in the crevices of the mountains. The temperature was an ideal 76 degree, which was a wonderful break from the 100 degrees back home in TX. There is limited parking off the road US 6, across from the sign marking the Continental Divide. If you’re coming from Keystone there is additional parking about 100 yards prior to the site but, you need to walk up to the trails from there and you need to be very careful because there’s no room to walk on the southern side of the road and only a few feet wide walkway on the northern side. You can walk up a steep mountain side from Loveland Pass to get even better views from various high points along a gravel and rocky path. This is 12,000 feet elevation so if you’re a flatlander like me you probably should wait to do this after you’ve been in the area for a few days and drink plenty of water. Loveland Pass is just a 15-minute drive from Keystone. We stayed there at the Flying Dutchman # 1137, a great place to stay that was recently remodeled (it’s managed by Summit Cove properties). We hiked all over the area, the Meadow and Ridge trail around Lake Dillon, the Swan Mountain Rd trail and we visited Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillion Lake (lunch at the Island Café, which I review separately), and even Vail. It was a great summer trip!

This is a great mountain! Skiing is excellent and the mid mountain restaurant is excellent and reasonable. Getting away from Vail Associates was a very good move.

Keystone Ski Area

Extensive terrain covering three mountains offers a wide variety of trails for skiers plus other activities including snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating and snowboarding.

Surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, Keystone is a favorite vacation destination for families, either summer or winter. The skiing is very good for families because there is a variety of terrain for all ability levels, including a terrain park. An area is reserved for beginners as you enter the ski area. The lift lines move fast and the lifts take you up the mountain at a good pace. There are restaurants on the mountain that are kid friendly. Keystone has two golf courses, ranch and river, that are challenging for all ability levels, well maintained and groomed. My oldest son and I spent many days on the ranch course when he was growing up and we have fond memories of those days. Keystone offers positive vacation experiences for families, winter and summer, that will result in memories they will cherish.

Keystone Lake

This was the most beautiful lake to go ice skating!! The setting is spectacular, and the ice was like glass. Skated on February 5th, it was a sunny day, and I had the lake to myself. The zamboni cleared the ice off first thing in the morning, so was able to skate early.

Keystone Spa

Reviewed By SaraSightsees07 - Dallas, United States

One of the most relaxing spas and massage experiences I’ve ever had! I snowboarded for 3 days straight, and the hot stone massage as well as the hot tub, sauna, and steam room amenities soothed my muscles and helped rejuvenate me. Their relaxation room is also delightful; it has a fireplace with tea and infused water. I was so relaxed and at peace all day. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. If you’re in town, make a trip to this spa! It’s worth it.
