My wife and I were referred to Christos by our amazing Celestia Grand concierge, Niko. He was incredibly professional and able to share Santorini’s history in a way that was really informative and also entertaining! We went to see all kinds of different things on the Island including, a monastery, the Black Sandy Beach, and the Estate Argyros Vineyard etc etc. Christos gave us a full explanation of the history and even sang prayers in the Monastery, what a legend! He was definitely something special to remember from our trip. The level of customer service you get with using Black Pearl Executive Tours is unbeatable! Christos thank you for everything, you are simply the best! Warm regards, Tom & Sharon

Petra Kouzina is a social endeavor, bringing people together, uniting them in their love of creating good food and connecting them to the lifestyle of Santorini.

We experienced a lovely time at Petra Kouzina with our adult son and his girlfriend. Georges and Paula were very hospitable and welcomed us into their home to teach us about the heritage of Greek food and culture. We prepared, under Georges’ watchful eye, a five course delicious meal with all local ingredients. We learned some handy tips to help us prepare the food. There were 15 of us who entered strangers and left as friends. A wonderful place to learn about Greece, its food heritage and dine divinely. One of the highlights of our trip to Santorini! Well worth the money!

Gavalas Winery

Gavalas family winery, one of the oldest wineries in Santorini, lies in the traditional village of Megalochori. The purpose of our family is to highlight the particular characteristics of Santorini’s “terroir”. The fourth generation winemaker is George Gavalas and the fifth is his son, Vagelis. With proper respect to the local varieties, we are focused on limited production bottlings. Gavalas winery vinifies the most vibrant variety in Greece, Assyrtiko, as well as Aidani, Mandilaria and Mavrotragano. In order to show the richness of the land, we are the only winery in Santorini that vinifies the indigenous rare varieties of Katsano and Voudomato.

We had a wonderful tour and tasting of the Explore Santorini wines here, with Spyro who was very informative, friendly and fun. The winery has a lovely family feel to it and we found that we actually preferred quite a number of the wines here when compared to other wineries on the island - so we ended up staying for an extra glass afterwards and bought a bottle to take home! We also had a delicious small platter of local cheese, meats, tomatoes etc. A lovely activity for a lazy afternoon!

Venetsanos Winery

Venetsanos winery is located right above the port of Athinios, overlooking the magnificent caldera of Santorini. The winery was designed by the innovator George Venetsanos in 1947. Firstly operated in 1949 and was the first industrial winery on the island. It has a very rich history, unique architecture and amazing views. We did two wine tastings whilst in Santorini in Venetsanos and Gaia, both very different but fantastic. Venetsanos is located on the edge of the caldera above the port with spectacular views. The location is for a reason as the whole wine process was driven by gravity starting with grapes loaded at the top of the cliff and pipes down to the port to fill the barrels in situ with the finished wine. In between the more traditional processing took place in caves cut into the rock which now house a simple museum showing the process as well as indoor tasting rooms. It is a unique spot and process. Wine tasting can take place either indoors or outdoors on the terrace. We were fortunate to have a sheltered spot outdoors so we were able to enjoy the spectacular caldera views whilst enjoying the wine tasting accompanied by a fun mezze mix. An informative and fun visit.

Santorini Horse Riding

Santorini Horse Riding began from our passion and love of horses. Our family has owned land and livestock in the village of Megalochori for 5 generations and our respect is a reflection for the love of the village and surrounding lands. As owners, Nikos and Zsanett wish to maintain the heritage of the island and to preserve the tradition and ancient practice of keeping horses and we do this by upholding high standards. We offer unique authentic riding experiences in stunning natural landscape of the sea and vineyards in the south of the island. Santorini Horse Riding Stables houses 30 horses, each with their own unique personality and character. Special types such as Andalusian show horses, Leopard Appaloosa, Shagya Arabian horse and so on. As responsible equine owners our animals receive daily attention in the cleanest, healthiest conditions plus expert veterinary assistance 24/7. We love of our horses as we do our children.

One of the best places I have ridden in the world, in terms of quality and beauty of horses, their good behaviour and being able to gallop along the beach which is amazing. Two of us rode the safari ride for experienced riders they take time to ensure you get good photos with wonderful back drops on your phone and all the staff put in that extra bit of effort. We even did the safari ride three times because we had such a great experience and loved it soo much.
