Gene has been a staple for our autumn adventures for 4 generations. He greets everyone like they're an old friend - with a smile and a free cook book with pumpkin recipes. Open areas make it easy for large groups to wander in wonder.

The Henderson Castle

Staying at the historic Henderson Castle is a timeless experience, a romantic getaway, an exciting adventure. Our vast Queen-Anne style mansion boasts an antique feel and a charm as vintage as our amenities are modern. Locals and Kalamazoo visitors alike fill our ten distinct guestrooms, occupy tables and sip wine at our French-style steakhouse, and celebrate special events in our ballroom and banquet hall. Stay for a weekend or a while -- you’ll be treated like royalty the whole time. Celebrating our 125th anniversary this year, we have over a century of stories on our grounds and within our walls, and sharing them with our guests is our greatest joy.

We have been here 3 times for a couples massage package. Once we did it with a facial and the other times were with hot tub time. The champagne and strawberries are a nice touch. The castle is of course beautiful, so it makes the experience that much better. We enjoyed a holiday dinner here once as well. We will definitely be back!
