Puerto Viejo Bermeo

Reviewed By Noraatc - Sudbury, United States

Bermeo is such a charming Basque town! After parking our car on the street, we walked up the hill to enjoy beautiful views of the fishing harbor full of countless multicolored boats. Then we descended to the harbor to walk on the boardwalk and taking a close look at the picturesque boats. So lovely and atmospheric! Bermeo dates back to the 13th century and some of the its old streets still never lost their authenticity. Despite its small size, Bermeo is one of the important fishing ports in the Basque Country; hence, the quality of the daily catch in its cozy restaurants.
