The restaurant is located about 10mins drive from ben thanh market in district 1. It is a family run "home cooking style" restaurant, in a 3-storey shophouse.On the day of our visit, it was raining quite heavily and the time was around 7.15pm when we arrived. One of the "staff" attended to our Grab car and opened the door for us and sheltered us with umbrella into the building, as what hotels will do! Cool! (it was later that we realized this lady is the person-in-charge of the restaurant who spoke very good English and she also sheltered us back to the Grab car upon leaving).We sat at the 2nd storey as there was an empty table (the 3rd storey, had a steep flight of steps up would be very challenging for my 80+ years old mum but the washroom was located here!).The restaurant had a simple, normal setup, nothing fantasy or great but you could feel the "ground to earth, simple locals' lifestyle" atmosphere. The restaurant was quite crowded as we saw many diners going up/coming down from the 3rd storey during our dinning there.After browsing through the menu, we ordered a seafood soup, seafood fried crispy noodles, white clams soup, grilled scallops and grilled octopus. Perhaps due to the large dinning crowd or took longer time to prepare the grilled items, the food did not all come at the same or about the same time. The grilled items were the last to be served, about a good 15mins later than the others but that was no problem for us.Verdict on food? Well, they were super nice and delicious. Not only the seafood items were fresh, perfectly cooked and in generous portions. Each item came with a specific sauce to go along well. Every dish we ordered was very good and we enjoyed the food so much, one of the top few best we have tried!The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There's free wifi here and you can ask the staff to key in the password for you. During our dinning, the 2 young children (elder sister and brother) of the owner were around and playing with each other but we somehow managed to communicate with them, they were very cute.It was a great value for money dinning here and if I didn't remember wrongly, the bill cost about S$21 in total. It was reasonably cheap and with such nice and yummy food, it's super worth it and would highly recommend this place. You are paying for hotel level (or even better) food and yet at normal coffee shop prices!We will surely revisit this restaurant again as we visit HCMC at least once a year but this was our 1st time visit here despite coming to HCMC for so many times already! Restaurant was very responsive over FB messenger when I wanted to make a lunch reservation & due to our flight delay, they were very understanding that we turned up later than the reserved time.Staff were all so friendly that we felt so at home within mins of taking our seats. The ambience of the restaurant was really very great & so chill relax! We really loved how they decorated the place & made it a welcoming place to have a meal or a drink. If we were not rushing off, we would have spent an even longer time there We ordered so much that it was such a pity that we didn't have a bigger stomach to try more items that day.A wonderful pleasant surprise & sweet gesture from the restaurant - When they knew that we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, they specially prepared 2 beautiful cocktail drinks for us to enjoy! Wow, this was totally unexpected! Thank you very much to the staff of Nam Vietnamese Kitchen for the wonderful meal & birthday surprise! I was here for a regional conference held in the hotel where this restaurant located. I had a chance to enjoy breakfast and lunch.I loved their scrumptious dishes and superb hospitality and services by the staffs.They help me to provide a halal version of Banh Mi, by using egg instead of meat. I'd like to commend this restaurant or accommodating our group of 26 - 20 students and 6 staff. The restaurant was of excellent quality and reasonable price. They served our food quickly and efficiently and got every drink order (which I know is a nightmare for a group this size) absolutely spot on. I would love to come back to this restaurant without 20 students in tow!!! I loved it. It is the most friendly restaurant iâve never ever seen before. We are family and we were treated really nicely when ordering. The menu has various Vietnamese dishes to choose. I suggest deep fried crispy pork belly and fried rice with seafood, itâs amazing . Specially, June very awesome, gave us best service. We eat here twice in the last 24 hours.Beautiful really fresh food. The brown rice was really really good. I had spicy tuna and salmon both times, yummy! We had a poke bowl for the very first time and returned for more less than 24 hours later! . The staff there piled up the bowl with toppings and dressings of your choosing and you can go back for more of both. A bowl costs 150 vnd which is just under â¬6. A lovely girl came up to us and had a long chat. She works there. Her name is Vy. She is a real ambassador for the restaurant. Only problem was we found it difficult to find. It is through a motor bike garage on the first floor. Photos of landmarks attached. The second one is the corner shop near the restaurant.This is a must visit restaurant. You won't be sorry.

The ambience is fantastic here, subtle and sophisticated. The steak cooling room a great feature, and of course you can't beat the view! Entrees were all tasty, the carpaccio a standout. We all ordered different versions of steak that was cooked to perfection. The wine menu was decent.Service was generally good but it did take a while to get the first round of drinks (the cocktails took ages). The restaurant manager David (?) made sure the rest of the evening went smoothly so all in all a great time.
