I have a great weakness for being on or near the water - and this place works for me! Lovely little champa at the end of the pier where you can order pizza (that's just about all they have and cervesa of course). Wish they offered some pasta, even one special per day would be great - would eat there more often. I also like my pizza crust a little more well done - really nice THIN crust though with delicious toppings. Looking forward to going back, as long as I can just sit and mellow out for a good 2 hrs or more on the water.

While in Trujillo, was introduced to this quaint little coffee shop. It has the best views in the town,looking out onto the ocean and the coffee is exceptional. Tge owners were lovely and don't forget to buy some fresh,local coffee beans while you are there.

This is a great place to eat fresh seafood. I have been in search of unlimited inexpensive Caribbean lobster for years - this is the place. Right on the beach in Trujillo Honduras, it is a great place to have drinks on three levels of decks or on their beach, as it is right on the beach steps from the water. Typical beach bar feel, but well staffed with friendly waiters and managers. and clean. I had shrimp, lobster and fish all grilled and presented in a butter sauce. Out of this world! If you find yourself in Trujillo, like we did on a curse, this is a must for lunch.

My wife and I visited Trujillo this summer. After having a rough time finding our way around the town, it was such a relief to find this cafe. Jon Tompson, the British expat owner, is extremely knowledgeable about the region and Honduras in general.
We planned to catch a late night bus out of Trujillo, but had no place to stay until the bus departed. Jon helped us find out bus times and destinations, then graciously allowed us to stay in the cafe until our bus left. He even mailed a pair of sandals back to me after I left them there! You go beyond the call of duty, Jon! It was a pleasure to visit the Cafe Vino Tinto, and I hope that fate will bring us back soon!
