The restaurant "Vila Velebita" was founded in 1991 in a family house and has been working successfully for 23 years. The owner, Mr. Svetimir Lovrovic, who acquired the craft in the old 1971, entered in the project of family business and today that business is being transferred to the younger generation. His wife, the main link in the kitchen space, even today still actively prepares meals. Her meals are the reason which is continuously bringing back the guests to taste the rich culinary offer. At our restaurant we are nurturing the friendly approach to guests, but our professionalism is what outshines when compared with others. Years of experience in working with people taught us to give the best we possibly can and that is the preparation of high quality food and high quality service.

By recommendation we were supposed to have dinner at another place on Silba Island, however, it was fully booked so we had to look for an alternative and walked into Vila Velebita. The service was great and all the meals we ordered were all extremely tasty. Had Octopus salad and Bacalar spread for starters, Black Squid Risotto, Grilled Calamari and Scampi Busara for mains. Great house wine too! All in all a very pleasant surprise!

We are serving half board food(breakfast and dinner) mostly for our guests in Pansion,but also with previous reservation we serve outside guests with food.Breakfast is self service and dinner is choice of 3 daily menus, meat, fish and vegetarian.Menu has soup or appetizer, main meal,salad and dessert.Bread and all desserts are made our self. Also most of the fresh fish has been caught early morning with our family fishing vessel ...

A quiet island, no unnatural sounds, only crickets and birds... ideal for relaxation and what's best is you do not have to worry about anything - Toni and Jagoda (our hosts) take care of everything, to the extent that they have beach rugs and hats for their guests. Here you can detach completely from everyday stress.

Der beste Fisch in 3 Wochen Kroatien. Muss man mehr sagen? Lassen Sie sich beraten. Nehmen Sie ausreichend Kuna mit. Billig ist es nicht.

Menu not present, you don't know the prices. Food is mediocre, needs a lot of adittional experience. Pasticada is OK, food with octopus is just without any inspiration at all. We had few other dishes, but is on level of everyday daily buffet of restaurants that you grab lunch for 40-60kn for work break in Zagreb. I would say restaurant's purpose at current setup is just money grabbing, because there is no intention for customer retention. For drink and apetizer is great because of the location and peace and quiet. I would give waitress five stars for politness and hospitality.

Absolutely disappointed with our meal. We were drawn to Zalic because the "pizza grill" sign and wanted to eat something that is not fish. Learned our lesson. Cevapcici 5pcs, oily fries and no bread - 60kn. Pizza mediocre but not the worst - 50kn. Waited about an hour to receive the meal. Service act like they don't care but maybe if you order something more expensive they act differently, who knows.

Visited 2 times for lunch during our stay on island Silba.
Bith times food was freshly prepared just for us.
We ate octopus burgers and cuttle fish risoto.
Aside of that, there is variety of sea food dishes, as well as meat and vegetables.
Servings are huge, and food is delicious.
Staff is frendly, well informed about food and drinks they serve.
Prices are moderate, you get good quality food for what you pay.
The only downside is that you can not pay with any kind of cards: only cash is accepted.
