After a pretty hair-raising drive (or a long walk up the mountain), this monastery really isn’t disappointing! Built into the rocks / cliff side, it boasts beautiful scenery and has quite a magical feel to it. A lone nun lives there for ten months of the year and so it is worth taking her some provisions if you feel like being generous.

you have to be careful driving in the slopes of the mountain in order to get an approach to the monastery. Parking is easy to find. the view is sensational, the atmosphere as you enter the monastery is magical, absolute peace and silence will calm you down. You must take a look at the temple of the small church inside the monastery, it is really beautiful. The drawings on the inner surface of the dome show the 4 stages of Christ-life, showing the genesis, baptism, crucifixion, and ascension.

You will find exactly the same things: a church, 3-4 aged plane trees, tavernas, souvenir shops, pastry and local products on benches. Not so different from a village at Pelion or Pindos. But it is the only place in the region with these character, with beautiful views and calmness. The road from Geraki to Leonidio is fantastic to drive. The village also is very clean.

The square of Glogova, a point of interest and entertainment, offers peace and tranquility to the visitor. Under the historic plane tree the visitor can try a drink. In this square you will also find the Church of St. George, a temple with history, too. Enjoy the walk in the village and do not forget to take pictures!
