Take some more time and continue north to explore Caladesi Island, voted #1 beach in America. On the island you can enjoy the day picnicking, searching for shells, swimming the turquoise waters or just relaxing on the beach. The Hurricane deck boats can head out of Clearwater Pass into the Gulf of Mexico and anchor off Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island and Three Rookers, where the water is clear enough to snorkel. And as you come back in, Island Marine’s courteous staff will be there to help you dock the boat. Try paddleboarding (the latest craze) or single or double kayaking. The intracoastal waterways are wide and safe enough you'll be able to enjoy yourself motoring around on paddle power. You'll see birds and fish of all kinds, even dolphins, plus homes of the rich and famous. And great way for the family to enjoy the day and we provide everything you'll need and then some. Would you prefer to stay on the ground? Try a breezy trip on a bike or a scooter. Go North towards Clearwater beach where you'll find incredible dining and unique shops. Go South towards John's pass and you'll find the same, plus entertainment. Go for a few hours or spend the day. The speed limit on Gulf Blvd is limited to 30 mph and there's a dedicated bike lane so it's a very safe place to ride up and down with the Gulf of Mexico within a glance to either side, depending on which direction you're going. We hope to see you soon on your next trip to sunny Florida.

Our family of five (2 adults and 3 teens) were looking for something fun and relatively inexpensive to do for a couple hours. Green Iguana Rentals was conveniently located a short walk from our condo. There is ample parking available for those who need to drive there, unlike other rental shops I saw in the area. The prices posted on our date were very fair. They have a wide variety of items available including: scooters, tricycles, kayaks, paddle boards, and more. They also have many beach items available for retail purchase. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. As you can imagine, with 3 teens, there was a lot of bickering involved. The man took it all in stride and with a smile. He gave us all a quick safety overview and training on the scooters we rented. We did test laps around the complex before hitting the road. My wife and daughter quickly realized that they would not be safe riding tandem, so we rented another scooter so they could split up. They adjusted the return time to account for all the time we wasted just getting ready. That was really nice of them. We cruised up to Clearwater, parked the scooters and took a little break to shop at Surf Style. We then cruised back south past the rental place to Reddington Beach and back up to the store, stopping at our condo Ali g the way to drop off our purchases. Two hours was an ideal amount of time. Not sure how much we'd accomplish with any less
