Top 7 Other Outdoor Activities in Wasatch Range, Wasatch Range

December 10, 2021 Timmy Ribble

Stretching 160 miles through Utah, the Wasatch Range makes a rugged, glacial backdrop for the 85% of the state’s population living within 15 miles. Mount Nebo is highest at 11,928 feet, but the peaks around Alta and Park City are most popular. "The greatest snow on earth" falls on these spectacular slopes. Lone Peak’s granite outcrops provide top climbing. Canyons and valleys are loved by fly-fishermen and hikers. After all that adventure, retire to a hip restaurant or enticing hot tub in chic Park City.

This winding road has many beautiful turnouts and vistas that gives you a feeling of what the pioneers must have encountered during their travels. Was hard on the brakes though.

Daniels Summit Lodge

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Daniels Summit Lodge when my wife and I went snowmobiling. Everyone from the front desk worker to the snowmobile guys setting up our equipment, to the snowmobile tour guide was extremely helpful and genuinely nice people. This was our first time ever going snowmobiling and the staff and the guide explained everything clearly. They made us feel safe and confident for our first snowmobiling experience. It was so fun and we had a blast. This will not be our last time snowmobiling or visiting Daniels Summit Lodge.

This place offered an exciting opportunity for kids from the south to experience ice skating. Cost was not expensive and the area not so crowded as to be limiting. It was just plain fun.

This was the best ski trip ever. The heli operation is top notch, from the guide (Cameron) the pilot, the staff and not to mention the FOOD. We didn't have lunch in the field but back at Base Camp were treated to a 2/3 course meal at the end of the day and complimentary refreshments. If you are reading this review you MUST book a trip, I am booking every year until I cannot walk. More fun than I have ever had on the mountain.
